The POCO X8 Power is easiest to justify if long battery life is your priority. Mint’s review reports a 10,000mAh battery, around two days of moderate use and 26 hours 44 minutes in its PCMark battery test. The trade-off is a 223g phone, with occasional stutters during heavier multitasking and gaming. At a reported starting price of ₹35,999, it is a battery-first choice—not an automatic pick for every buyer.
What does ₹35,999 buy?
Mint reported a starting price of ₹35,999 in its review published on 6 October 2026. Gadgets 360 listed the 8GB + 128GB version at ₹35,999 and the 8GB + 256GB version at ₹38,999 as of 24 September 2026. These are dated figures, not guarantees of current availability or price; check the live listing and offers before buying.

The POCO X8 Power’s main distinction is endurance, paired with a large, high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen. Whether that combination is worth the money depends on how much you value fewer charging stops—and how willing you are to carry a heavier phone.
How long does the battery last?
Mint reports a 10,000mAh battery. In the reviewer’s use, the phone had approximately 40–45% charge left after an average workday, lasted around two days under moderate use, and ran for 26 hours and 44 minutes in the reviewer’s PCMark battery test. These are results from one review, not a promise of the same runtime for every user; screen brightness, signal conditions, apps and workload all affect endurance.

The review says the phone supports 100W charging and 27W reverse charging. Despite the high charging wattage, filling a 10,000mAh battery still takes time: Mint observed an approximate 30–50 minutes for a full charge. Treat that as the reviewer’s observation, not a standardized charging guarantee.
Is the design practical for everyday use?
The yellow version reviewed by Mint has a vegan-leather back, with a contrasting black frame and camera module. It gives the phone a more distinctive look than a conventional plain-backed handset. The same design has a practical cost: it weighs 223g and measures 8.65mm thick. Mint says it does not feel excessively bulky given the battery, but the weight remains worth considering if you prefer a light phone or use one-handed for long periods.

How good are the screen and performance?
Large, smooth display
Mint reports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The review describes its colors as punchy and outdoor visibility as good. POCO’s claimed peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits is repeated in the review; it is a manufacturer claim, not a brightness measurement reported by Mint.
Capable for routine use, less assured under load
The reviewed phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Mint found everyday use generally responsive, but noted occasional stutters during heavier multitasking. The review reports gaming support up to 90 fps, alongside frame-rate drops during extended play. Its Geekbench 7 results were 915 single-core and 2,851 multi-core; those are the reviewer’s figures, not an independent test conducted here. If sustained gaming or consistently heavy workloads matter more than battery life, the reported drops and stutters deserve attention.

What are the camera and software compromises?
Mint describes the ultrawide camera as adequate rather than a major strength. The review notes 4K recording at 30 fps for the main and selfie cameras on paper; that specification alone does not establish real-world video quality.
The reviewed phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Mint says some preinstalled apps can be removed, while the Indus Appstore system app cannot; Glance was off by default. The review also reports a promise of four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. Confirm the support policy applicable to the India model before treating those periods as a purchase guarantee.

Who should buy the POCO X8 Power?
It makes more sense if
- You regularly run short of charge and value the review’s unusually strong endurance results.
- You want a large 120Hz AMOLED display and are comfortable with a 223g handset.
- You like the yellow version’s vegan-leather finish and distinctive contrasting details.
Consider another phone if
- A lighter, thinner handset matters more to you than battery capacity.
- You often game for long sessions or use demanding apps and want steadier performance under load.
- You expect a strong ultrawide camera or need tested video quality rather than a listed recording specification.
Keep the model name straight when comparing specifications: POCO’s official global page is for the separate POCO X8, not the X8 Power. That page lists an 8,340mAh battery and 67W charging, so those specifications should not be attributed to the X8 Power.
