The Moto G86 Power has the larger listed battery, at 6720 mAh against the POCO X7’s 5110 mAh typical rating. The POCO X7 lists faster charging, at 45 W against Motorola’s 30 W. On paper the two 2025 midrange 5G phones have almost identical 6.67-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED screens. The price difference depends on country, memory configuration and date: at India launch the POCO X7 cost ₹4,000 more, but a 2026 listing snapshot showed the two within ₹164 of each other.
This comparison relies on manufacturer specification pages, launch-price reports and one third-party price comparison. Specifications are not endurance or performance test results, and the sections below mark where a figure comes from and when it was checked.

Display: nearly identical on paper
Both phones publish the same panel size, resolution and maximum refresh rate. The one difference in the official pages is colour depth: Xiaomi lists 12-bit for the POCO X7 and Motorola lists 10-bit for the Moto G86 Power. Manufacturers measure peak brightness in their own ways, so brightness figures published by the two companies should not be ranked against each other. A side-by-side viewing test under the same conditions would be needed to say which screen looks better.

Battery and charging
The two phones pull in opposite directions here. The Moto G86 Power has the larger battery, and the POCO X7 has the faster charger. Neither figure tells you how long either phone will last.
Battery capacity
Motorola lists 6720 mAh for the Moto G86 Power. Xiaomi lists the POCO X7 at 5110 mAh typical, and its global support FAQ gives a rated figure of 5010 mAh. Rated and typical are two different measures, so the POCO X7 should be described by the qualifier that comes with each figure, not as a contradiction. On listed capacity alone, the Moto G86 Power has the larger battery by a wide margin. The manufacturer figures do not establish a comparative battery-life result, and this article does not claim a particular number of hours for either phone.
Charging speed
The POCO X7 is listed at 45 W and the Moto G86 Power at 30 W. Charging power alone does not determine charging time, because the battery size, the charger included in the box and the conditions during charging all affect the result. Xiaomi says box contents may differ by region, and its Philippines page lists an adapter; check the box or the retailer listing for the charger in your market.
Which Moto G86 is this?
Motorola sells more than one G86 model, and the names are easy to mix up. This comparison covers the Moto G86 Power only.
- Moto G86 Power: 6720 mAh battery, 30 W charging, 512 GB storage and no memory card slot, according to Motorola’s official support page.
- Moto G86 (non-Power): 5200 mAh battery, 30 W charging, and 256 GB storage with microSD support up to 1 TB, according to Motorola’s India page. It is a different phone with a smaller battery and different storage arrangement.
Motorola states that specifications may vary by market. Before buying, confirm the exact model name, storage, memory card support, network bands and NFC support for your country.
Performance
Both phones use a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-series chipset. The POCO X7 page lists the Dimensity 7300-Ultra at up to 2.5 GHz, and Motorola lists the Dimensity 7300 for the Moto G86 Power. Naming alone does not show which phone runs apps or games faster. No controlled, repeatable benchmark comparison was available for this article, so it does not name a speed winner.
Cameras
Xiaomi’s Philippines page lists the POCO X7 with a 50 MP main camera that has optical image stabilisation, an 8 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP macro and a 20 MP front camera. The Moto G86 Power camera figures in the third-party comparison (50 MP main and 32 MP front) do not appear on the Motorola page checked for this article, so treat them as secondary-source figures until they are confirmed against Motorola’s listing for your region. Megapixel counts do not indicate photo quality, and this article makes no claim that either phone takes better photos.

Water resistance
Xiaomi describes the POCO X7 as IP68 rated, but only under specified laboratory conditions. Its official page states: “Such water resistance features only pertain to specific conditions tested in a laboratory environment, which do not correspond to the normal conditions of use by consumers.” The page does not name an individual speaker, so the statement is attributed to Xiaomi’s product specifications. The Motorola page checked did not give a comparable rating for the Moto G86 Power. Neither phone should be described as waterproof or damage-proof, and warranty terms may exclude water damage.
Price difference
There is no single current price for either phone. Prices depend on country, storage and memory configuration, retailer and date, and the figures below come from different contexts that should not be combined.
India listing snapshot (2026)
A 91mobiles India comparison page, checked in 2026, showed the POCO X7 at ₹17,999 (via Flipkart) and the Moto G86 Power at ₹17,835 (via Amazon). The gap is ₹164. These listings can change at any time, may reflect different configurations or sellers, and are not manufacturer prices.
India launch prices (2025)
Beebom Gadgets lists the India launch prices as ₹21,999 for the POCO X7 and ₹17,999 for the Moto G86 Power, a launch gap of ₹4,000. This describes what each phone cost at launch, not what it costs now.
Spain launch prices (2025)
Cinco Días reported Spain launch prices of €329 for the Moto G86 Power and €299 for the standard Moto G86. These figures do not include the POCO X7 and cannot be converted into a comparison with the rupee prices above.
Which one to choose
- Choose the Moto G86 Power if battery capacity is your top priority and you do not need a memory card slot, because it lists the larger battery and 512 GB of built-in storage.
- Choose the POCO X7 if faster charging matters more to you, and you want the water-resistance rating and the main camera details listed on the manufacturer’s official page.
- Compare current prices in your own market before deciding, because the price gap has moved from a ₹4,000 launch difference in India to a ₹164 listing difference in 2026, and it can move again.
Before you buy, check the model name and storage tier, the seller and the charger in the box, since these vary by region and retailer.
