The POCO X8 Pro is the newer phone, with a larger published battery capacity and faster wired charging; the POCO X7 Pro has the larger display. Both list a 50MP optical-image-stabilized main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, so the available specifications alone do not establish which takes better photos. There is no universal price difference: compare current offers for the same memory configuration, market and seller.

POCO lists 3200 nits peak brightness for the X7 Pro. Xiaomi Singapore lists 3500 nits for the X8 Pro, specifically over 25% of the display area. These are manufacturer figures from different product specifications, not a controlled side-by-side measurement; they do not guarantee that the X8 Pro will look brighter in every scene or setting.

Battery and charging: higher ratings on the X8 Pro
The X8 Pro lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 100W HyperCharge, compared with 6000mAh and 90W on the X7 Pro. Those figures describe capacity and rated charging, not how long either phone lasts in everyday use. The published specifications do not provide comparable screen-on-time testing, and actual charging results vary with conditions.
Box contents also differ in the cited information: POCO’s global X7 Pro page lists a 90W charger in the box, while Xiaomi Singapore says X8 Pro adapter availability depends on the local seller. Confirm the package contents with the seller in your market before buying.

Camera comparison: similar listed hardware, no proven photo winner
Both phones list a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 20MP front camera. Xiaomi Singapore identifies the X8 Pro main sensor as Sony IMX882; the cited X7 Pro global specification does not provide a matching sensor identification. That difference in disclosed detail is not evidence that one phone produces better images.
The specifications do not establish a real-world camera winner. A reliable comparison would require side-by-side photos and video captured under comparable conditions; megapixel counts and stabilization labels cannot substitute for those results.

How to compare the price difference
There is no single current price gap that applies to every buyer. It depends on country, RAM and storage, retailer, seller status, warranty or import status, and the date you check. Compare the same memory tier in the same market and currency, and verify that both offers come with the warranty and local network support you expect.
For context only, 91mobiles displayed an X7 Pro price of ₹23,999 at Flipkart and an X8 Pro price of ₹38,899 at Amazon on its comparison page when accessed. These are India-specific retailer price snapshots, not stable or verified current prices, and the page does not establish that the offers are for equivalent memory configurations. They should not be treated as a dependable price difference. See the 91mobiles comparison page for that listed context, then check live local offers before deciding.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the X7 Pro if
- You prefer the larger 6.67-inch display.
- A local offer makes it the better value for the memory configuration and warranty you want.
- The confirmed charger and other box contents in your market suit your needs.
Choose the X8 Pro if
- You prefer the newer model and its smaller 6.59-inch screen.
- The higher published battery capacity and 100W charging rating matter to you, while recognizing that these figures do not prove longer battery life.
- Its price, configuration and local seller terms make sense where you live.
Launch date and availability
POCO scheduled the X8 Pro series online launch for March 17, 2026 at 20:00 GMT+8. The company cautions that availability may vary by market and directs buyers to local sales channels. Its event page also presents a chipset benchmark under stated conditions; that in-house result is not an independent head-to-head performance test against the X7 Pro. See the official POCO X8 Pro series launch page for the launch information.
