For India, launch prices and later retailer listings are different kinds of price evidence, so compare the exact configuration and live offer before buying. Neither battery capacity nor camera megapixels alone establish real-world performance.

The M8 Power’s rated battery capacity is 8,000 mAh, compared with 5,110 mAh for the M7 Pro. That is a substantial capacity advantage on paper, but capacity is not a direct measurement of time between charges. Screen size, chipset, software, network conditions and usage affect endurance. No independent matched-use test establishes how long either phone lasts under the same conditions.

There is also a caution against assuming that the bigger battery automatically wins every endurance comparison: a 91mobiles listing shows PCMark battery figures of 15 hours 56 minutes for the M8 Power and 17 hours 46 minutes for the M7 Pro (91mobiles). The captured listing does not document test conditions, so these figures should not be treated as a controlled, directly comparable result or a prediction of your own use.

How do the cameras compare?
Both phones are listed with 50 MP main cameras, but the M7 Pro’s specification is more detailed: POCO identifies a Sony IMX882 sensor, f/1.5 aperture, OIS and EIS, and 2× optical-grade in-sensor zoom (POCO). Launch coverage gives the M8 Power’s main camera as 50 MP with an f/1.8 aperture (Cinco Días / Smartlife).
The listed selfie-camera resolutions are 20 MP for the M7 Pro and 8 MP for the M8 Power. Resolution alone does not show which phone produces better selfies: image processing, lens and sensor characteristics, and lighting all matter. There are no matched camera samples here to support a definitive quality verdict.
Performance, software and support
The M7 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025 Ultra; the M8 Power is reported with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot lists AnTuTu scores of 486,435 for the M7 Pro and 619,773 for the M8 Power (91mobiles). Because the listing does not document the test date, conditions or benchmark version, those numbers are not enough to establish a universal performance winner. For a practical decision, look for independent testing of the exact regional models and workloads that matter to you.

| Phone/configuration | Price evidence | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| POCO M7 Pro 5G | ₹14,999 shown on Flipkart in a 91mobiles comparison snapshot accessed in 2026 (91mobiles). | A mutable retailer listing, not an official MRP or a guaranteed current offer. The cited snapshot does not specify a matching RAM/storage configuration. |
| POCO M8 Power 5G, 6 GB/128 GB | ₹24,999 India launch price reported in August 2026 (Cinco Días / Smartlife). | Launch price, not necessarily the current selling price. |
| POCO M8 Power 5G, 8 GB/128 GB | ₹27,999 India launch price reported in August 2026 (Cinco Días / Smartlife). | Launch price, not necessarily the current selling price. |
| POCO M8 Power 5G, configuration not specified in cited snapshot | ₹23,945 shown on Amazon in a 91mobiles comparison snapshot accessed in 2026 (91mobiles). | A retailer listing snapshot; check the selected offer’s RAM, storage, seller and availability. |
Using only the two observed retailer prices, the M8 Power listing was ₹8,946 more than the M7 Pro listing. That is not a like-for-like price comparison: the sellers differ, the M8 Power configuration is not stated in the snapshot, and retailer prices change. Using India launch prices instead, the M8 Power’s listed launch premium over the ₹14,999 M7 Pro snapshot would be ₹10,000 for 6/128 GB or ₹13,000 for 8/128 GB—but this also compares a launch price with a retailer snapshot, not equivalent official prices.
The India prices do not establish pricing or availability in other countries. Confirm the local variant, warranty, seller and live checkout price before purchasing.
Size, weight and choosing between them
The M8 Power is reported to measure 8.4 mm thick and weigh 225 g (Cinco Días / Smartlife). Its larger display and battery come in a substantial handset, so check the weight and dimensions against how you carry or hold a phone. A comparable M7 Pro weight figure is not established by the specifications cited here.
Quick Recap
Choose the POCO M8 Power 5G if
- You prioritize the larger 6.83-inch display and higher stated battery capacity.
- You want the stronger update-support commitment reported at launch.
- You are comfortable with the reported 225 g weight and have verified the local price and availability.
Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G if
- You prefer its smaller 6.67-inch display.
- The lower observed retailer price is available to you for the configuration you want.
- You value its higher stated 20 MP front-camera resolution or the extra published detail on its main-camera stabilization, while recognizing neither proves better image quality.
What to check before ordering
- Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, not just the model name.
- Check seller identity, regional model, warranty coverage, stock and the final checkout price.
- For battery life, seek a credible test of both phones under the same conditions rather than relying on capacity alone.
- For camera quality, compare sample photos and video from the exact models instead of judging megapixels in isolation.
