The POCO M7 Plus is the stronger fit if you prioritize a sharper, faster display and faster charging on paper; the Redmi A7 Pro 5G is the more compelling choice for a longer stated software-support term and, in one observed India-market listing snapshot, a lower price. Neither specification sheet proves which phone has better real-world battery life, camera results or performance.

On listed specifications, POCO has the display advantage for sharpness and refresh rate: both screens are 6.9 inches, but 91mobiles lists the M7 Plus as FHD+ at 144Hz, while Xiaomi specifies an HD+ panel on the Redmi with refresh rates selectable at 60Hz, 90Hz or 120Hz. Higher resolution can make text and fine detail look clearer, while a higher refresh rate can make scrolling appear smoother. Actual viewing quality also depends on factors such as brightness, panel tuning and content, so these numbers alone do not establish the overall screen experience.

Battery capacity and charging: what the figures mean
91mobiles lists the POCO M7 Plus with a 7,000mAh battery and 33W charging. Xiaomi lists the Redmi A7 Pro 5G at 6,300mAh typical capacity, 15W charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging. That gives POCO the larger stated capacity and faster stated charging rate; it does not show how long either phone lasts in comparable use or how quickly it charges in practice. Those outcomes depend on more than capacity and the advertised charging rate.
Camera specifications are not a photo-quality verdict
The POCO’s rear camera is listed at 50MP by 91mobiles; Xiaomi lists a 32MP f/2.0 rear camera and an 8MP f/2.0 front camera for the Redmi. Both comparison listings give the phones an 8MP front camera. Megapixel counts describe resolution, not the full image-making system: they do not establish which phone produces better photos, especially across different lighting conditions. No comparative camera testing is established by these sources.

Software and update support
Xiaomi specifies Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0 for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G and promises four years of Android updates plus six years of security updates. 91mobiles lists the POCO M7 Plus with Android 15 and reports two years of OS updates plus four years of security support. On those stated terms, Redmi offers the longer support commitment. The POCO support figures are secondary-source information; confirm the applicable update policy for the exact handset and market with the manufacturer before purchase.

Price difference and availability in India
In the 91mobiles listing snapshot accessed for this comparison, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G was shown at ₹14,499 on Amazon, while the POCO M7 Plus was shown at ₹16,999 and marked out of stock. These are snapshot prices and availability, not guaranteed current offers; prices can change, and the listing may not represent the same storage variant or seller for both phones. Check the live listing, seller and exact SKU before deciding that one is cheaper.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the POCO M7 Plus if its listed FHD+ 144Hz display and 33W charging matter most to you, and you can find the storage/RAM configuration you want at an acceptable live price.
- Choose the Redmi A7 Pro 5G if you value Xiaomi’s longer stated update commitment, its official 6300mAh typical battery specification, microSD expansion or dual 5G SIM support.
- Compare the exact listings if price is decisive: RAM, storage, seller and stock can change the real comparison, and the recorded prices are only a dated snapshot.
There is no evidence here for a fair direct winner on performance, camera quality or battery endurance: the cited sources provide specifications and listing information, not comparable hands-on or benchmark results.
