The POCO F7 and Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G make different spec-sheet trade-offs: the India POCO lists a larger 7,550mAh typical battery, while Motorola adds a 3.5× periscope telephoto camera, a 144Hz display and wireless charging. Motorola India currently displays the Edge 70 Pro at ₹39,999 against an MRP of ₹51,999. A reliable live price gap between the phones cannot be stated from the available listings: one POCO listing shows ₹35,999 but is out of stock. Check same-day prices and matching memory variants before deciding.

Motorola India’s store lists the Edge 70 Pro in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, with a displayed offer price of ₹39,999 and MRP of ₹51,999. The displayed offer is a store snapshot, not a guarantee of the price or availability at checkout. Check Motorola India’s Edge 70 Pro listing.

A 91mobiles listing showed the POCO F7 at ₹35,999 but marked it out of stock; other comparison listings show different POCO prices. That is not enough to establish a current difference against Motorola’s offer, particularly without matching storage and RAM configurations. Compare available listings on the same date, with the same seller and variant, and include any checkout discounts or bank offers only if you qualify for them. See the POCO F7 listing snapshot.
For context only, TechRadar reported POCO F7 launch prices of £389/$399 for 12GB/256GB and £429/$449 for 12GB/512GB in the UK/Europe in 2025. Those historical prices are for another market and should not be compared directly with current India offers. Read TechRadar’s POCO F7 review.

Battery: the India POCO has a different capacity from the global model
POCO’s official FAQ distinguishes the India F7 from the global version. India’s model is rated at 7,410mAh and has a 7,550mAh typical capacity; the global model is rated at 6,330mAh and has a 6,500mAh typical capacity. Motorola states that the Edge 70 Pro has a 6,500mAh battery. So the India F7’s typical capacity is 1,050mAh higher than Motorola’s stated capacity; the global F7 and Motorola match on typical capacity.
Capacity is not a direct measure of how long a phone lasts between charges. Display settings, processor load, network conditions and software affect runtime. Motorola’s UK support page says “Up to 51 hours of battery life,” but that manufacturer statement does not establish a comparable test against either F7 variant. Motorola’s battery specification.

Both phones list 90W wired charging in the cited specifications. Motorola also announces 15W wireless charging. Confirm the charger and other accessories included with the exact India retail package rather than assuming a listed charging speed means an adapter is in the box.

Display: Motorola advertises a higher refresh rate
The F7’s display is listed at 6.83 inches with 2772 × 1280 resolution and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. Motorola lists a 6.8-inch, 2772 × 1272 Extreme AMOLED panel with refresh up to 144Hz. The POCO is marginally larger by the stated diagonal; Motorola’s maximum refresh rate is higher. Those numbers and the panel branding do not, on their own, determine which screen will look better to you.
Performance: different chips, no proven head-to-head winner
The POCO F7 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in the global review specification. Motorola announces MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme for the Edge 70 Pro. Motorola says the chipset offers “up to 30% power-efficiency gains and up to 25% higher peak performance”; this is a manufacturer claim with comparison footnotes, not an independent comparison with the POCO F7.
No directly comparable independent test of both exact India configurations is established here. Choose based on the chip platform you prefer, but do not treat these specifications alone as proof that one phone is faster in your apps or games.
Cameras: Motorola offers more focal-length options on paper
The Edge 70 Pro’s listed rear cameras include a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5× optical zoom. Motorola also lists a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The global F7 review specification lists a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide camera, with no dedicated telephoto, plus a 20MP selfie camera.

That gives Motorola more stated camera hardware and a dedicated optical zoom option. It does not prove better image quality: megapixel counts and camera configuration are not substitutes for matched photo testing, which is not established here.
Software: launch versions are not a support-life comparison
The F7 review specification lists Android 15 with HyperOS 2 at launch; Motorola’s announcement lists Android 16 for the Edge 70 Pro. These are launch software versions, not a complete account of current updates or how many years each phone will receive support. Check the manufacturers’ current India support commitments before buying if update lifespan is a deciding factor.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the POCO F7 if
- You are buying the India edition and prioritize its stated 7,550mAh typical battery capacity.
- You want the Snapdragon platform and have confirmed the exact Indian SKU and a price in stock.
- You do not need a dedicated telephoto camera or wireless charging based on the listed specifications.
Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro if
- You value a dedicated 3.5× optical periscope camera and the listed 50MP ultrawide and autofocus selfie cameras.
- You prefer a display advertised at up to 144Hz.
- 15W wireless charging is useful to you, or you are choosing between Motorola’s listed India memory variants.
These are specification-based reasons, not results of a direct hands-on comparison. For either phone, settle the choice only after checking the exact India variant, availability and final price.
