If that option is already set, check whether the missing content has actually loaded: full-page capture changes how much of the page is captured, but does not itself trigger application content that loads only after scrolling.
1. Capture the full scrollable page
page.screenshot() captures the current viewport by default. In JavaScript or TypeScript, set fullPage: true:

await page.screenshot(path="full.png", full_page=True)Playwright defines fullPage as capturing “the full scrollable page, instead of the currently visible viewport.” It controls the image extent; it does not guarantee that every part of an application has fetched or rendered its content. 2. Check whether the missing content exists
Before changing waits or screenshot settings, inspect the element or text that should appear below the fold. If it is absent from the DOM, a screenshot option cannot create it. Check that the content is present before capture and that the screenshot file you inspect comes from the intended call; a later screenshot call may overwrite the same path.
3. Trigger content that loads on scroll
Infinite lists and other scroll-triggered sections may not load until a user scrolls near them. Scroll a meaningful lower-page target into view, then wait for a concrete signal that the expected content has appeared:

Playwright documents scrolling a footer into view as a way to force an infinite list to load more content in its Actions: Scrolling guide. If the page loads more content after several scrolls, repeat the real interaction and wait for the relevant content or application loading signal each time. There is no universal delay that guarantees every site has finished loading.

Some pages scroll within a nested panel rather than the document. If the missing section belongs to such a panel, scroll that container or a locator inside it, then verify that the container revealed or loaded the expected content. Scrolling the window will not necessarily trigger an interaction tied to an inner scroll surface.

5. If the content exists but is missing from the pixels
When the target is present in the DOM but does not appear in the image, compare a viewport screenshot, a screenshot of the target element, and the full-page image. Inspect:
- Whether the target has nonzero dimensions and is visible.
- Clipping, overflow rules, or an overlay covering the content.
- Lazy-loaded images that have not loaded yet.
- CSS positioning that moves content outside the captured document.
- Whether the document or a nested element is the intended scroll container.
These are diagnostic possibilities, not a confirmed cause for every blank screenshot. The reported symptom alone does not identify a specific browser or site failure.

6. Stabilize visual screenshot tests
expect(page).toHaveScreenshot() waits for two consecutive screenshots to match before comparing against the baseline. That helps with transient changes, but does not ensure that application-specific, scroll-triggered content was loaded beforehand. Playwright also notes that screenshots can vary with the operating system, browser version, settings, hardware, power source, and headless mode. Keep those conditions consistent when investigating visual diffs. See Visual comparisons and the Page API.
Screenshot options can control animations or inject styles. Use them carefully: a stabilization style that hides or changes the content under test can mask the problem rather than fix it.

Does fullPage: true scroll through an infinite list to load every item?
No. It captures the full scrollable page, but scroll-triggered application content may need to be loaded by scrolling and waiting for it first.
