Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Patch 3.2: Languages, Fixes and Changes

Patch 3.2 brings new language support and quality-of-life changes to Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition, with platform-specific differences in languages, saves and file access.

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Patch 3.2 was reported released for PC and mobile on October 1, 2026. It adds community language support and interface improvements, fixes a save-related problem in Modron’s Maze, and changes cloud-save controls and modding paths. The release date and platform scope come from RPG Site’s report; Beamdog’s official Steam posts document the preceding beta and release-candidate stages.

What Patch 3.2 changes

The update combines localization work with fixes and platform-specific adjustments. Beamdog introduced it as a staged update: its August 20 announcement said, “We’re preparing a new update for Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition, and today we’re launching a public beta for the first wave of changes.” On September 15, Beamdog described a subsequent build as “a release candidate for the upcoming live patch.” Those posts establish the beta and release-candidate history; the October 1 final-release date is reported by RPG Site.

Community translations

Patch materials list Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian, as well as Italian. Czech is identified as available on mobile. Beamdog’s beta announcement also mentioned Italian for PC and mobile, but the available announcements do not provide a complete language-by-platform matrix. Availability therefore should not be assumed to be identical across PC, Android, and iOS. See Beamdog’s Steam patch announcements and RPG Site’s final-patch summary.

Modron’s Maze save issue

Beamdog says the patch addresses a problem in which modded content could be reloaded or removed from save files when Modron’s Maze was generated. That behavior could make areas reset after the player left them. The fix is particularly relevant to players using mods; the announcement does not describe it as a general save-system redesign.

Fonts and interface scaling

Language handling was adjusted to make future language updates easier. Beamdog says the Chinese font was changed at localization volunteers’ request, and font zoom is saved separately for each language. The release-candidate notes also add a Graphics setting to scale the interface to fit the game window. If scaling is turned off, the interface stays at its intended 1024×768 size. That figure describes the unscaled interface target, not a required monitor resolution.

Cloud saves: where to control syncing

On Steam, cloud-save control is now handled through Steam’s client and the game’s properties rather than the old in-game option. Beamdog says saves that were already syncing continue to do so even if the Steam client setting is disabled; removing the legacy in-game option does not itself stop those existing saves from syncing. For GOG Galaxy, Beamdog’s release-candidate notes say cloud saves are functioning properly. The announcements do not establish equivalent behavior for every storefront.

Where to put a modded dialog.tlk

For the later release-candidate guidance, use a language-specific override directory: home:/override/<language>/dialog.tlk. Beamdog says the global override path remains available as a fallback. The earlier 3.2.0 beta instructions described a global override/dialog.tlk path; the later language-specific instruction is the more current guidance for Patch 3.2. The announcements do not establish that this file access works the same way on every mobile or console edition.

Supported devices and mobile file access

Beamdog’s beta notes announce native Apple Silicon support. The reported final-patch minimums are macOS 10.15 and iOS 15.0; these minimums do not mean that every Mac or iOS device can run the game. The iOS requirement is also stated in Beamdog’s release-candidate announcement. See Beamdog’s Steam announcements and RPG Site’s patch summary.

Beamdog’s mobile notes cover access to user-accessible game data and file transfers. Some Android devices restrict access to Android/data; the notes suggest exporting and importing through Documents as an alternative. Beamdog also warns that an Android installation with incorrect permissions may need to be reinstalled to correct them, and advises backing up saves before reinstalling. These caveats matter for players moving or modifying files, not for ordinary play.

What the release notes do—and do not—confirm

The official Steam material reviewed documents the beta and release candidate, while the October 1 release date and PC/mobile scope are established by secondary reporting. Store descriptions may not yet reflect patch changes, and the available information does not support a complete comparison of languages, file access, or features across every platform. Treat platform-specific details above as limited to the editions and announcements that identify them.
