In the US, the two phones launched at the same price in matching storage tiers: $499 for 128GB and $599 for 256GB. A Nothing US store listing observed at $419 for the 8GB/128GB Phone (4a) Pro makes that configuration cheaper than its launch price, but there is no same-day Google Store quote here to establish a current, like-for-like price difference. On features, choose Nothing for its larger 144Hz display, dedicated optical zoom and 50W wired charging; choose the Pixel for a lighter, smaller phone, Qi wireless charging, IP68 protection and a longer stated update term.
US price difference: launch prices matched, but current deals may not
At launch, the US prices reported for both phones were aligned by storage tier. Google announced the Pixel 10a at $499, and the cited comparisons report $499 for Nothing Phone (4a) Pro with 128GB and $599 for each phone’s 256GB configuration. Google’s February 18, 2026 announcement gives the Pixel launch price; the Nothing launch tiers are reported by Digital Camera World and Android Central.

The current-price evidence is narrower: the Nothing US store listing showed $419, with $499 crossed out, for the selected 8GB/128GB model when accessed in 2026. That is a listing observation, not a guaranteed price or a direct comparison with a live Pixel quote. Check both sellers at purchase time, and compare the same storage tier; discounts can change which phone is the better deal. US prices should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.

Specifications come from Google’s Pixel phone hardware tech specs and the cited Android Central and Digital Camera World coverage. Brightness figures use source-specific modes, not a controlled test between the phones. The component names and memory configurations do not, by themselves, establish which phone is faster in everyday use. IP ratings describe resistance under specified conditions and do not guarantee protection from damage.

Which phone has the better screen?
The Nothing is the clear pick if you want a larger display: its 6.83-inch panel is substantially bigger than the Pixel’s 6.3-inch screen. Its refresh rate also reaches 144Hz, compared with the Pixel’s 120Hz ceiling. That may appeal for scrolling and supported games, though the figures alone do not establish how smooth each phone feels in every app.
Pixel’s smaller display suits a more compact phone. Its official peak-brightness specification is higher than the Nothing figure cited for high-brightness mode, but the modes differ, so those numbers should not be read as a direct brightness test or a guarantee that one screen is easier to see outdoors.

Camera choice: optical zoom or a simpler two-camera setup
Nothing has more focal-length versatility on paper. Its dedicated periscope telephoto camera provides 3.5× optical zoom, alongside main and ultrawide cameras. The Pixel’s cited rear setup has a main and ultrawide camera but no dedicated telephoto. If you often photograph distant subjects, that hardware difference makes the Nothing the more flexible choice for optical reach.
This is a comparison of published specifications, not a controlled head-to-head photo test. The extra camera does not prove that the Nothing takes better photos overall, and the camera counts and megapixels do not settle differences in processing, low-light results or video quality.

Charging, portability and durability trade-offs
Choose the Pixel for wireless charging and a lighter build
At 183g, the Pixel is 27g lighter than the Nothing, and its 6.3-inch screen makes it the more compact option. It also supports Qi wireless charging. Google says a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately, is needed for the fast-charge behavior described in its specifications; factor that in if you do not already have a compatible charger.
The Pixel carries an IP68 rating, while the Nothing is rated IP65. These ratings are not a promise that either device is damage-proof, particularly after wear or physical damage.

Choose the Nothing for faster wired charging
The Nothing lists 50W wired charging and has a 5,080mAh battery; the Pixel lists a typical 5,100mAh capacity. Capacity figures do not predict battery life without comparable testing. The Nothing does not support wireless charging, so its advantage here is its stated wired charging rate rather than charging flexibility.

Which one should you buy?
- Pick Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if a large, high-refresh-rate screen, dedicated 3.5× optical zoom or 50W wired charging matters most—and its current local price makes sense for your storage configuration.
- Pick Google Pixel 10a if you want a lighter, smaller phone with Qi wireless charging, the higher stated IP rating and the longer reported OS-update term.
- Compare current prices before deciding. The launch prices matched by storage tier in the US, while the observed $419 Nothing listing applies only to one 8GB/128GB listing and does not establish today’s price gap against the Pixel.
