What data does Pinger collect?
Pinger groups information into personal information, app data, and share data. Its examples include name, email, phone and billing details; device, network and usage information; call and message details; message content; contacts; and content such as audio, video or photos that a user shares. The California Privacy Notice also lists advertising identifiers, account attributes, location when permission is granted, and privacy-scan data. These are possible categories, not a claim that every category is collected from every user or in every app.

Pinger says it uses information to provide and improve its services, send notifications, support advertising, and store or share user-provided material as directed. Its policy also describes disclosures to service providers for functions such as communications, billing analysis and customer support, and disclosures connected with legal requests, fraud prevention, security and preventing misuse or harm. The policy therefore does not support a blanket claim that user information is never shared.

How long does Pinger keep data?
Pinger, Inc.’s California Privacy Notice, last updated September 8, 2026, publishes the following retention periods. They are the periods stated in that notice; they are not independent verification of how deletion is operationally implemented.

For message content and account attributes, the notice says automated implementation of the relevant inactive-account process was expected in Q1 and Q2 of 2024, respectively. The notice’s published periods should be read with that qualification rather than as confirmation that the processes have been independently checked.

Can I delete my Pinger data?
Pinger says users may request access to or deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions. The company requires a verified request; its materials say to log in and contact Pinger through the app so the request can be associated with the account. Deleting an account means the apps can no longer be used for their intended purpose.

Is Pinger end-to-end encrypted?
Pinger’s published privacy materials do not say that messages are end-to-end encrypted, and they do not identify specific encryption protocols or state whether encryption is used in transit or at rest. This is a limit in what the located disclosures specify; it is not proof that Pinger uses no encryption.
The Privacy Policy says: “We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Customer Information under our control.” It also says stored customer information is accessible to authorized personnel, contractors and agents bound by confidentiality obligations. The California notice describes appropriate technical and organizational measures proportionate to processing risk. These are general safeguards statements, not a specification of an encryption architecture.

Does Pinger have two-factor authentication?
Pinger’s terms say account setup may request a password and may prompt for a phone number to receive an authentication call or SMS. The official materials cited here do not establish whether two-factor authentication, login alerts, device or session management, or other additional account protections are currently available. Check the current settings or product-specific support materials rather than assuming a control exists across every Pinger app. See Pinger’s Terms and Conditions and its Support page.
Where is Pinger data stored?
Pinger says its necessary systems are in data centers in the United States. Its California notice says some EU-based support teams may remotely access account information but do not store it.
