Ping Identity announced three AI agents for Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise on September 29, 2026, and said they were available through Google Cloud Marketplace. One supports employee management of authentication devices; the other two help identity administrators with user, access, and session tasks. Ping says the agents route natural-language requests to defined identity actions through Ping APIs, with actions constrained by the relevant permissions and safeguards.
What does Ping Identity’s trio of agents do?
Built for Gemini Enterprise using Google’s Agent Development Kit, the agents let employees or administrators request selected identity operations in natural language. They are not described as general-purpose administrators: each is aimed at a defined user and task scope, and actions remain subject to the applicable authority and permissions. Ping’s September 29, 2026 announcement names the three agents and their intended functions.

| Agent | Intended user | Tasks Ping describes | Controls highlighted |
|---|---|---|---|
| PingID Device Management Agent | Signed-in employees | Pair a replacement phone; view, rename, or remove a registered device; choose a default device. | No standing credentials; Ping says it cannot act or access resources independently of direction from the authenticated user. |
| PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud Administrator Agent | Help desk and identity administrators | User, access, and session management, including examples such as password resets, MFA enrollment management, and user activity review. | For changes in an Advanced Identity Cloud implementation, Ping says only approved operators can access it and explicit confirmation is required before the agent acts. |
| PingOne Administrator Agent | Help desk and identity administrators | User, access, and session management, with password resets, MFA enrollment management, and user activity review among the announcement’s examples. | Actions are subject to administrators’ assigned controls and permissions. The announcement does not specify a separate confirmation rule for this agent. |
What can the PingID device agent manage?
The PingID Device Management Agent is the employee self-service option. Ping says a signed-in employee can use it to pair a replacement phone, inspect registered devices, rename one, set a default device, or remove an old device. These are device-management tasks—not a claim that the agent can independently authenticate as the employee or make unrelated account changes.
Ping describes this workflow as least privilege: the agent has no standing credentials and cannot access resources or perform operations without direction from the authenticated user. The announcement does not provide implementation details such as a full permission matrix or the exact confirmation flow for each device action.

How do the administrator agents differ?
The PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud Administrator Agent and PingOne Administrator Agent are for administrative identity work rather than employee device self-service. Ping groups their capabilities around user, access, and session management. Password resets, MFA enrollment management, and review of user activity are examples in the launch announcement; the exact actions available in a particular deployment depend on assigned controls and permissions.
For changes in an Advanced Identity Cloud implementation, Ping specifically says access is limited to approved operators and that the agent requires explicit confirmation before acting. The announcement does not state that this exact confirmation rule applies to every workflow handled by both administrator agents.

Are Ping Identity’s agents available on Google Cloud Marketplace?
Yes. Ping said all three agents were available through Google Cloud Marketplace when it announced them on September 29, 2026, and described them as built for Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise with Google’s Agent Development Kit. “Available” here reflects Ping’s announcement; it does not establish that every organization, region, or customer account can use them.

How this launch relates to Ping Identity for AI
Ping’s three Gemini Enterprise agents are distinct from its broader Identity for AI offering. In a separate March 24, 2026 announcement, Ping described Identity for AI as generally available, with Agent IAM Core, Agent Gateway, and Agent Detection. The company positioned those capabilities around registering and authorizing agents, delegated authority and policy enforcement, and detecting agent activity. That announcement does not, by itself, establish that those components are included in or required for the three Gemini Enterprise agents.

Ping founder and CEO Andre Durand described the rationale for the launch this way: “AI is becoming a new interface for work. Identity can’t remain trapped behind a separate console.” The announcement establishes the agents’ names, intended tasks, Google Cloud context, and some safeguards as Ping describes them. It does not provide independent performance results or settle commercial and regional availability questions.
