PayoutDelta is a browser-based tool and open dataset designed to estimate how much of a freelancer’s or agency’s invoice may arrive after platform fees, payout charges, intermediary bank deductions, and currency conversion. Its numbers are indicative benchmarks—not live quotes or guaranteed deposit amounts—so confirm the actual fees and exchange rate with the provider before choosing a route.
What PayoutDelta does
PayoutDelta focuses on a practical question for people receiving international payments: how much of an invoice might remain after each payout cost is applied? Its calculator presents estimated fees and a net landed amount, while its published data describes payment corridors, currencies, rates, intermediaries, and payout methods.

The project’s developer hub reports a dataset revision dated September 27, 2026, covering 208 corridors, three platforms, and five rails. Its About page describes a snapshot spanning USD, EUR, and GBP origins, three client platforms, and five withdrawal channels. These are the project’s own coverage figures; they do not establish that every bank, destination, or transaction is represented.

How the dataset and tool are built
Static data and browser-side calculations
The project documentation describes calculations running in the browser against a static data bundle, with a machine-readable JSON feed. The developer hub’s example schema includes fields such as base and target currencies, a reference rate, an intermediary USD amount, a SWIFT/BIC, and a payment-purpose code. Ahmad Bilal’s DEV Community article describes the site as a Next.js 15 static export hosted on GitHub Pages. That describes the implementation reported in the article, not an independently inspected deployment.
#1 Best Overall
The About page says the site’s calculations run client-side, but also identifies third-party fonts and an ad placeholder as network touchpoints. That is more precise than describing the experience as having no external connections.
Scope of the fee estimates
PayoutDelta says its figures are informational benchmarks compiled from public rate cards and that its rate aggregates are indicative, not quotes. A modeled intermediary deduction may differ from the amount actually taken by a correspondent bank; the project points users to the beneficiary bank’s credit advice for the actual deduction. Provider fees, exchange rates, bank arrangements, corridor, payment size, and settlement route can all affect the final deposit.
Rank #2
For that reason, a PayoutDelta result is best treated as a comparison starting point. It should not be read as a promise of the amount that will be credited, or as evidence that a modeled charge applies to every bank or transfer in a country.
What payment routes can be compared
The invoice tool displays estimates for Direct SWIFT Wire, Local Bank Transfer, Wise, Payoneer, and Remitly. These are examples in the project’s tool, not verified live quotes from those services. The project’s comparison material also includes Wise and Payoneer, and mentions Airwallex in challenger-rail and agency material. Their inclusion indicates that PayoutDelta compares them; it is not an endorsement or an independent product review.
Rank #3
When comparing routes, focus on the assumptions behind each result rather than a single headline fee:
- Net landed amount: the estimated amount remaining after the modeled deductions.
- Intermediary deductions: any correspondent-bank amount represented in the route.
- FX spread: the difference between the reference rate and the modeled exchange rate.
- Fixed payout fee: charges that may have a different effect on small and large transfers.
- Corridor and coverage: the origin, destination, currency pair, and route represented by the dataset.
- Settlement rail: the kind of transfer path used, since routes are not interchangeable.
A useful comparison records the corridor, dataset revision, assumed transfer amount, and whether the displayed number is a benchmark or a current provider quote. Without those details, two net amounts may not be comparable.

Ahmad Bilal’s DEV Community article, indexed as published September 24, 2026, reports Lighthouse scores of 100/100 on desktop and mobile, with a 0.2-second First Contentful Paint, a 0.5-second Largest Contentful Paint, and 0 ms Total Blocking Time. These are the author’s reported measurements; they were not independently verified in the material available for this article. They should not be treated as a reproduced benchmark or as a guarantee of performance on every device or network.
The same article says international software engineers and remote agencies frequently lose 3.5%–8.2% of gross revenue to correspondent-bank hops and retail FX markups. That range is attributable to the article, not independently established as a general statistic by PayoutDelta’s documentation. A reader should not apply it as a default estimate for a particular invoice or country.

What is planned rather than available
PayoutDelta’s About page lists invoice PDF export, rate-drop email alerts, embeddable agency widgets, and a scheduled crawler as roadmap items. They should be understood as planned features, not capabilities the page establishes as already shipped.
Quick Recap
How to use PayoutDelta responsibly
- Choose the origin, destination, currency, and route that match the payment you expect to receive.
- Check which dataset revision and corridor coverage the estimate represents.
- Use the same transfer amount and currency assumptions when comparing options, and examine the estimated net amount alongside the modeled FX spread, fixed fee, intermediary deduction, and rail.
- Ask the payout provider and receiving bank for current charges and the applicable exchange rate before relying on the estimate.
- After payment, compare the bank’s credit advice with the estimate to identify deductions that the benchmark did not capture.
