Paxos USDG became natively issued on Arbitrum One on October 5, 2026, as Arbitrum joined the Global Dollar Network. The “$3B” in the launch headline refers to the network’s report of more than $3 billion of USDG in circulation on that date—not a new stablecoin or a live current-supply figure.
What launched on Arbitrum
USDG is Paxos’s dollar stablecoin, introduced in 2024. The October 2026 announcement concerns its native issuance on Arbitrum One and Arbitrum’s addition as a Global Dollar Network partner; it does not mark the creation of a separate coin. The network said USDG was set to become the default dollar across Arbitrum DeFi, a stated ambition rather than a guarantee of adoption.

Who issues USDG, and what backs it?
Paxos documentation identifies Paxos Digital Singapore Pte. Ltd. as USDG’s issuer and describes the company as a Major Payments Institution supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Paxos also named that entity as issuer when it introduced USDG in 2024. According to Paxos, USDG is redeemable from Paxos one-to-one for U.S. dollars, with cash and cash-equivalent reserve assets held in segregated accounts. Paxos says it publishes monthly reserve-composition reports and independent third-party attestations. These are issuer disclosures; direct redemption may depend on platform terms and eligibility. Where USDG is reported to be available
Arbitrum’s October 6 launch post names Fluid, Morpho, GMX, Maple, Uniswap, and Kraken as early integrations. Cointelegraph separately reports that Kraken supports USDG deposits and withdrawals and that Stargate supports cross-chain transfers. These announcements indicate integrations, not universal access: availability can vary by service and jurisdiction, so check the relevant platform’s current asset, network, and withdrawal support before sending funds. For a reader looking to acquire USDG, there is no single access route established for everyone. Paxos describes institutional onboarding that includes organizational documents, identification for key personnel, and KYC checks, and says eligible users can mint USDG through its platform. Exchange access and DeFi integrations are separate routes with their own eligibility, availability, and terms; confirm that a service supports USDG on Arbitrum One specifically, rather than only USDG on another network. ARB incentives remain a proposal
An October 6 ArbitrumDAO forum proposal requests an additional 100 million ARB for an incentive program. The proposal page establishes the requested amount, but not approval, implementation, or final terms. Native issuance gives Arbitrum a network-specific USDG deployment and named early integrations. It does not by itself establish that USDG is safer than competing stablecoins, that every listed service is available to every user, or that using it will earn a return. For an access or risk decision, verify the issuer and jurisdiction, reserve disclosures and redemption route, whether the token is native or bridged on the network you are using, current service support, fees and liquidity, and your own eligibility.
