Questionable means it was uncertain whether he would play; the designation did not confirm his availability.
What the Patriots’ final report says
The Patriots listed “FB Reggie Gilliam – Knee (LP)” under QUESTIONABLE. The team defines questionable as “Uncertain as to whether the player will play.” The report’s dated practice table records limited participation Wednesday, Sept. 30; no participation Thursday, Oct. 1; and limited participation Friday, Oct. 2. The team defines limited participation as less than 100% of a player’s normal repetitions. New England’s Week 4 injury report provides the detailed entry and definitions.
Is Reggie Gilliam playing in Week 4?
The available report does not establish whether Gilliam would play. Questionable is a status of uncertainty, not a prediction or confirmation that he would be active. NFL.com’s Week 4 injury listing also showed him as questionable with limited participation.
When was the game scheduled?
New England’s game at Buffalo was scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The injury reports cited here were published before kickoff, so they do not establish the game-day outcome.

What is known about the knee injury?
The official reports identify a knee injury but do not provide a diagnosis, cause, severity, treatment, or recovery timeline. A Patriots Week 3 report, published Sept. 25, also listed a knee injury and limited participation, without a game designation for that week. That earlier entry shows a prior report concerning the same body area; it does not establish a diagnosis or continuous absence. The Week 3 report contains that listing.
