Pakistan’s domestic cement dispatches rose 7.35% year over year in September 2026, while total dispatches grew 5.95%. The rounded “7%” headline refers to domestic dispatches—not total dispatches.
How much cement did Pakistan dispatch in September 2026?
News reports citing the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) reported these national figures:
| Measure | September 2026 | Year-over-year change |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic dispatches | 3.788 million tons | Up 7.35% |
| Exports | 832,173 tons | Nearly unchanged |
| Total dispatches | 4.621 million tons | Up 5.95% |
ProPakistani reported the domestic and total figures; Raised by Numbers reported the export figure. The figures are attributed to APCMA data in those news reports; the association’s original release and its precise definitions were not independently checked.
Did cement exports also rise in September?
Exports were nearly unchanged year over year, according to Raised by Numbers’ report citing APCMA. That contrasts with the rise in domestic dispatches: the September increase in total dispatches was smaller than the domestic increase because exports did not show comparable growth.

| Total dispatches | 13.141 million tons | Up 3.88% |
Why did domestic dispatches increase?
The reported coverage frames stronger domestic demand as the main driver, but the published figures do not establish a specific cause for the monthly change. ProPakistani attributed concerns about export declines and energy-price instability to an unnamed APCMA spokesman; it also reported that easing geopolitical tensions were viewed as helpful to industry recovery. These are attributed comments, not evidence that those factors caused September’s dispatch figures.
