What Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 do—and what they don’t
Sleepbuds 2 combine a passive seal from silicone tips with steady sound masking. They play a chosen sound to make disturbances less noticeable; they do not generate anti-noise using ANC. This distinction matters: masking can be useful for irregular sounds, while a good seal and steady playback do not deliver the same low-frequency reduction as ANC.

Ozlo says the earbuds can stream music, podcasts or audiobooks, then automatically switch to a selected masking sound after sleep is detected. The app also offers manual, timed and automatic listening modes, sound-profile controls and a personal in-ear alarm. An accelerometer in the earbuds detects sleep, while sensors in the Smart Case measure ambient noise, temperature and light. Ozlo presents sleep patterns and environmental insights as informational aids, not proof that the buds improve sleep or a replacement for a dedicated tracker.

Are they comfortable for side sleepers?
The earbuds weigh 1.6 g each without a tip and stand 11 mm high. Ozlo includes four sizes of soft silicone tips. SoundGuys reviewer Adam Birney tested a company-provided unit for five days on firmware 02.11.2606011 and reported that the buds sat flush in his ears while side sleeping. A Tom’s Guide reviewer also described a comfortable, low-profile fit.

Those are reviewer experiences, not a guarantee of fit for every ear. The seal and tip size affect both comfort and noise masking. SoundGuys emphasizes that the result depends on the ear-tip seal, so a poor fit can undermine the main noise-control feature.
How well do they mask noise?
SoundGuys measured a 71.3% average perceived loudness reduction with a good seal in its 2026 testing. That figure is concentrated in the mid and high frequencies; it does not mean an equivalent reduction at every frequency or establish that every wearer will get the same result. The reviewer notes that low-frequency attenuation is limited compared with ANC.

For intermittent or unpredictable disturbances, such as snoring or a dog barking, masking may be more relevant than trying to cancel a constant sound. Ozlo President and co-founder Charles Taylor explained the company’s rationale to Tom’s Guide: “Active noise cancelation, which is what your ANC is, is really effective for environments we understand,” and described sleep environments as containing irregular noises. That is the manufacturer’s explanation for its design choice, not evidence that masking works better for every sleeper.

Battery life: the claim and a reviewer’s result
Ozlo claims up to 14 hours of playback per charge. Its test note specifies streaming audio and Sleep Sounds at 50% volume; content, volume, settings and battery history can change actual runtime. In his five-day test, Birney reported about 30% battery remaining after eight hours of streaming. That is one reviewer’s result under his use conditions, not a guaranteed runtime for every listener.
What you get and what to check before buying
The package includes the earbuds, charging and storage case, four sizes of silicone tips and a charging cable. The earbuds charge over USB-C and use Bluetooth 5.3. Ozlo lists compatibility with Android 12 or later and iOS 17 or later.

Ozlo’s US product page listed Sleepbuds 2 at $279 when checked on October 7, 2026. At that time, the page also showed a limited-time Ozlo Ultra Soft 3D Blackout Sleep Mask with purchase, a one-year warranty and a 30-day return policy. Those purchase terms and any bundle can change, so check Ozlo’s product page for the current offer and conditions.
How the price compares with the trade-offs
At $279, these are a premium, single-purpose purchase. SoundGuys identifies three notable omissions: ANC, wireless charging and Bluetooth multipoint. That limits their value if you want active cancellation, easier charging or the ability to stay connected to two devices. The product’s case is also part of the sleep-specific setup, with ambient sensors and storage, rather than a feature set aimed at broad daytime versatility.

Soundcore Sleep A30 is a relevant alternative if ANC or a lower price matters more. Tom’s Guide listed it at $229.99 at review time, but that is a review-time price, not a current market comparison. Compare the options on fit, masking versus ANC, battery use and price rather than assuming one is the right choice for every sleeper.
Who should consider Ozlo Sleepbuds 2?
- Consider them if you want a low-profile, sleep-focused design, value streaming that can hand off to masking sounds, and are willing to pay for those features.
- Look elsewhere if ANC is essential, you need multipoint or wireless charging, or you want one pair of earbuds for sleep and general daily use.
- Be cautious about the price if you have not established that silicone tips are comfortable for you; fit and seal are central to both comfort and masking performance.
The strongest case for Sleepbuds 2 is a specific one: a reviewer found the low-profile fit comfortable for side sleeping, and the feature set is built around nighttime listening and sound masking. The $279 price is harder to justify if those sleep-specific advantages are not your priority. Tom’s Guide’s view that the price may be worthwhile for people whose sleep is disrupted by noise is a reviewer’s value judgment, not an objective outcome or a promise of improved sleep.
