Reno14 has a documented 50 MP telephoto camera with up to 3.5× optical zoom; the Redmi comparison lists a larger display, larger battery capacity and faster wired charging. A like-for-like current price difference cannot be established from the available listings: Xiaomi showed its 8 GB + 256 GB model at ₹49,999, while OPPO’s ₹42,999 figure was a launch price, not a verified current offer.

Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
Reno14: a dedicated telephoto camera
OPPO lists three rear cameras, including a 50 MP telephoto camera with up to 3.5× optical zoom. That gives Reno14 a hardware option for zoomed-in shots that is not listed for the Redmi in the 91mobiles comparison.

Redmi: primary and ultra-wide cameras listed
The comparison lists a 50 MP primary and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera for the Redmi, with no telephoto camera listed. This establishes a difference in listed hardware, not which phone takes better photos overall. Pixel counts and lens specifications alone do not establish image quality.

Display, battery and charging differences
Redmi has the larger listed screen
The Redmi’s 6.83-inch display is larger than Reno14’s listed 16.74 cm (about 6.59-inch) screen. Both are listed at up to 120 Hz; the Redmi resolution and panel details come from 91mobiles, while OPPO supplies the Reno14 specifications.

Capacity and charging figures favor Redmi on paper
91mobiles lists a 10000 mAh battery and 100 W Hyper Charging for the Redmi. OPPO lists Reno14 at 6000 mAh typical capacity (5840 mAh rated) and 80 W SUPERVOOC. The listed figures give Redmi the larger capacity and higher charging rate, but they do not establish comparative battery life: actual runtime varies with use and conditions.

Performance: what the processor figures do and do not show
OPPO specifies the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 for Reno14, while 91mobiles lists the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 for the Redmi. The comparison page also reports AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 for Reno14 and 992,266 for the Redmi. Those are third-party listed figures; the reviewed page does not establish a controlled independent test method. Treat the scores as context, not a reliable prediction of how the phones will perform in your apps or games. Chip names or a single benchmark figure are not enough to declare a real-world winner.

Price difference and availability in India
The Xiaomi India Store displayed the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in the 8 GB + 256 GB configuration for ₹49,999 when accessed on 5 October 2026. The same listing showed ₹69,999 crossed out; that crossed-out figure is not a verified current transaction price. 91mobiles also listed ₹49,999 at Amazon when its comparison page was accessed.
OPPO’s Reno14 launch page advertised ₹42,999 at launch. That is a launch price, not a verified current selling price. The 91mobiles page showed Reno14 as unavailable or out of stock when accessed, so the available observations do not establish a current, like-for-like price difference. Check live retailer listings, stock and offers for the exact RAM and storage variant before buying.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose Reno14 if a dedicated telephoto camera and up to 3.5× optical zoom matter to you, or if you want one of OPPO’s listed 256 GB or 512 GB configurations.
- Consider the Redmi if you prefer the larger listed screen, the larger stated battery capacity or the higher listed wired charging rate, and its current price and availability work for you.
- Compare the exact variants before deciding. The Xiaomi store price cited here is for 8 GB + 256 GB, while OPPO lists three RAM/storage options. A headline price comparison between different configurations—or between a launch price and a current retail listing—would be misleading.
Other Reno14 details
OPPO lists Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6 and USB Type-C for Reno14. Headphone audio is digital-only through Type-C. OPPO’s listed box contents are the phone, charger, USB data cable, SIM ejector, quick guide and protective case; the company notes that box contents may vary by market.
