On paper, the OPPO K15s is the better phone for most people. It has a sharper AMOLED screen, a bigger battery and higher-resolution cameras. The K15x has a larger screen diagonal and a lower reported price in China. Both are reported with 120Hz refresh rates and 45W charging. This is a comparison of published specifications. It is not a hands-on review, and it makes no claims about measured battery life, speed or photo quality.
Launch context and pricing
Gadgets 360 reported on September 30, 2026 that both phones were added to OPPO’s K15 series in China. These are China launch prices, not global ones. Availability outside China and current retailer stock are not established.

Which features matter most in daily use
Display: sharpness versus size
You look at the screen more than any other part of the phone, so this is the biggest difference. The K15s uses AMOLED at 2,372 × 1,080. The K15x uses an LCD at 1,570 × 720, which is HD+. The K15x is larger at 6.75 inches against 6.57 inches. Spread over a bigger panel, its lower resolution should look softer in text, icons and video. The shared 120Hz ceiling means scrolling can look equally smooth on both. It says nothing about sharpness or panel type.
Pick the K15x if you care most about a big screen at the lowest price. Pick the K15s if you read a lot or watch video and want a crisper picture.

Battery and charging
The K15s is reported at 8,000mAh typical capacity and the K15x at 6,500mAh. Both support 45W charging, so the larger battery on the K15s may take longer to fill. The K15s has more capacity, but capacity does not translate into a set number of days of use. Screen type, chipset and software tuning also affect runtime, and no battery-life tests have been published.
Recommended Free Tools
ITHome reports OPPO’s own laboratory claims about longevity. For the K15s, the claim is more than 2,000 charge cycles with at least 80% capacity retained after simulated use. For the K15x, it is 1,800 cycles with at least 80%. These are manufacturer claims from controlled testing, not independent real-world results.

Performance, memory and storage
The K15s has the Dimensity 6360 MAX and the K15x has the Dimensity 6300. Both use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. That storage is a common feature of this price tier. The K15s has more RAM headroom at 8GB, which may help with multitasking. Both chipsets look aimed at everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing, video and light gaming. No benchmarks or hands-on tests were available, so the size of the performance gap is unknown.
Cameras
The K15s has a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The K15x has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The K15s has a clear resolution lead, and the 5MP selfie camera on the K15x is especially modest. Megapixels do not decide image quality, though. Sensor size, lens, processing and low-light behavior matter too. Without comparison samples, it would be wrong to say one phone takes better photos.

Durability
ITHome reports that OPPO claims dust and water protection ratings for the K15s of IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66. It also reports that the K15s passed 15 military-standard environmental tests under GJB150A-2009. For the K15x, OPPO claims IP64. These ratings come from OPPO’s controlled testing and do not guarantee protection in every situation. IP64 generally means splash resistance rather than submersion protection. If you use a phone near water, dust, or in a work setting, this gap is worth weighing.

The K15s has an in-display optical sensor. The K15x has a side-mounted capacitive one. Side sensors are often quick and work well with gloves off or when the phone is on a table. In-display sensors rely on the screen position. The right choice is mostly personal preference.

What is not yet known
Regional release outside China, real-world battery life, benchmark performance and comparative photo quality have not been verified. If you plan to import either phone, check the exact regional model, network band support, seller and warranty first.
The Bottom Line
The K15s makes sense if you want the better screen, the bigger battery and the stronger durability claims. The K15x suits you if you want the cheapest entry price and the larger panel, and you can accept an HD+ LCD and lower-resolution cameras.
