The OPPO A3 Pro 5G launched at a much lower price and offers microSD expansion. These phones launched in different years and price tiers, so the right choice depends on which features matter to you—not on specs alone.
India launch prices: how large is the gap?
OPPO India announced the A3 Pro 5G on 21 June 2024 at INR 17,999 for 8GB/128GB and INR 19,999 for 8GB/256GB. vivo India announced the V70 in February 2026 with a starting price of INR 45,999 and sales beginning 26 February 2026. Comparing the two entry launch prices, the V70 started INR 28,000 higher. These are launch prices from different years, not a current street-price comparison; check current listings and match storage before buying. Display
Both phones list a 120Hz refresh rate, but the panel type and resolution differ substantially. The V70’s 1.5K OLED specification indicates a higher-resolution display than the A3 Pro’s HD+ LCD. OPPO’s 1,000-nit figure is described as a sunlight maximum; without matching measurement conditions for both phones, it should not be treated as a direct brightness comparison.

Chipset
The V70 lists a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 built on a 4nm process, while the A3 Pro uses a 6nm Dimensity 6300. Those are different platforms and process specifications, but they do not establish a real-world speed difference by themselves. No independent comparative benchmark is available here, so avoid treating a chipset name or nanometre figure as a measured performance result. OPPO described the A3 Pro’s platform as supporting 5G and lower power consumption in its 21 June 2024 announcement; that is the manufacturer’s claim.
Camera flexibility: V70 offers more listed rear options
The A3 Pro’s rear setup pairs a 50MP main camera with a 2MP portrait camera. The V70 lists a main camera, an ultra-wide camera and a 50MP ZEISS telephoto. That gives the V70 more focal-length flexibility on paper, particularly for telephoto portraits. Camera counts and megapixels do not establish image quality, and there is no independent head-to-head camera test to declare a winner.

The cited V70 material lists a front camera but does not establish its exact configuration here. A direct selfie-camera comparison would therefore be premature.

Battery, charging and durability ratings
Capacity and charging
vivo lists a 6,500mAh typical battery and 90W FlashCharge for the V70; OPPO lists a 5,100mAh typical battery and 45W SUPERVOOC for the A3 Pro. These are rated capacities and charging wattages, not independent battery-life or charging-time results. Actual runtime and time to recharge are not established by the specifications alone.

OPPO says the A3 Pro battery retains more than 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which it equates to more than four years at an average of one charge per day. This is OPPO’s stated claim, not an independently verified result. OPPO’s announcement also describes a lab device surviving 450 tumble-drum rotations and calls that a 200% increase in protection compared with no case; this, too, is a manufacturer-reported test.
Ingress protection is not drop protection
The A3 Pro is rated IP54, while vivo says the V70 was tested under controlled laboratory conditions and rated IP68/IP69 under IEC standard 60529-2013. These ratings concern ingress protection; they do not mean either phone is indestructible or establish its resistance to drops. See vivo’s V70 product information for its rating and conditions.

Storage, software and what comes in the box
The A3 Pro offers a 128GB starting configuration and microSD support, useful if you want a lower entry price or expandable storage. The V70’s listed India options start at 256GB, with 8GB or 12GB RAM, and no storage expansion. Compare the configuration actually sold at the price you find rather than assuming a RAM or storage option applies to every listing.

The listed software versions are ColorOS 14.0.1 for the A3 Pro and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 for the V70. These version listings do not establish how long either phone will receive updates; no update commitment should be inferred from them.

OPPO lists a charger, protective case, USB cable, SIM tool and documentation among the A3 Pro’s included items. The cited material does not establish V70 box contents, which may also depend on the market or seller listing. Check the specific V70 listing for included accessories before purchase.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo V70 if you prioritize an OLED display with higher stated resolution, a more versatile listed rear-camera setup, a larger rated battery, faster rated charging or higher ingress-protection ratings—and its higher launch price fits your budget.
- Consider the OPPO A3 Pro 5G if the lower India launch price is the priority, you want a 128GB starting option or microSD expansion, or the listed in-box protective case and charger matter to you.
- Check before deciding by comparing current prices for the same storage tier. Launch prices do not show the phones’ current market gap, and specifications alone cannot settle questions such as camera quality, battery life or long-term software support.
Confirm the OPPO model before comparing
This comparison is specifically about the India-market OPPO A3 Pro 5G, model CPH2665, with Dimensity 6300, HD+ LCD and IP54. Other regional phones sharing the A3 Pro name may have different hardware; do not assume another market’s A3 Pro specifications apply.
