OneStream Live can run prerecorded video as a scheduled, cloud-hosted 24/7 YouTube stream, so you do not need to leave a computer or encoder running at home. It is a conditional fit: OneStream’s help documentation says the dedicated feature is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and allows a scheduled run of up to 30 days. Its pricing page separately lists a 24-hour-stream add-on, so confirm the eligible plan and full checkout price before paying.
What OneStream Live does for an always-on channel
OneStream Live is a cloud service for scheduling prerecorded video to stream as live. For its dedicated 24/7 feature, you choose video files, connect a YouTube channel, enter stream details, and schedule a run. OneStream’s help documentation describes the loop as cloud-scheduled; an always-on local computer is not specified for this prerecorded workflow. The vendor describes support for more than 45 social platforms and custom RTMP destinations, but that general reach should not be confused with 24/7 looping: the dedicated continuous-stream feature is documented for YouTube only.
This review is based on OneStream and YouTube documentation, not a hands-on test. No independent uptime benchmark or reliability statistic is established here, so the cloud workflow should not be read as a guarantee that a stream will never disconnect.
How to start a 24/7 YouTube stream
- Prepare your video. Have a prerecorded file ready, or select content from OneStream storage or a supported cloud storage source. Confirm that you hold the rights needed to stream it live and keep any resulting archive, including music rights.
- Open the 24/7 workflow. In OneStream, create a 24-hour stream using the dedicated 24/7 feature rather than treating an ordinary prerecorded scheduled event as continuous looping.
- Select the destination. Choose the connected YouTube channel for the stream. The documented 24/7 feature is not a general multistream loop for all of OneStream’s destinations.
- Enter the stream details. Add the title and other stream information requested in the interface, then choose the video or playlist and schedule the run.
- Set the duration and review the schedule. OneStream’s instructions state that a 24/7 scheduled run can be set for up to 30 days. Plan to renew or schedule a subsequent run before that period ends if you need continuity; check the current interface for any changes to the limit.
- Verify the YouTube event. Check YouTube Studio to confirm that the scheduled event is associated with the intended channel and is receiving the stream. YouTube’s encoder guide explains the separate live-input path; for a prerecorded cloud loop, follow OneStream’s scheduling workflow.
OneStream’s general prerecorded-stream scheduler is described as allowing scheduling up to 60 days ahead. That is a scheduling horizon for prerecorded streams, not the 24/7 feature’s maximum run duration.

Plan eligibility, duration, and price
There is an important difference between OneStream’s public help and pricing information. The help article says 24/7 streaming is exclusive to YouTube and requires an Enterprise plan. The pricing page separately advertises a 24-hour YouTube stream add-on at $30 per month and displays Enterprise at $139 per month in its monthly plan table. These statements do not, by themselves, establish whether the add-on changes the base-plan requirement or how many simultaneous streams are included.
Before subscribing, confirm with OneStream or at checkout which base plan qualifies, whether the add-on is required, how many concurrent streams are covered, and the total recurring charge. The displayed prices and feature eligibility may change. The 30-day cap also means this is not a set-and-forget schedule with an unlimited run length.

What to weigh before choosing it
Good fit when
- You already have rights-cleared prerecorded content and want it scheduled from the cloud to YouTube.
- You do not want a dedicated local computer or encoder operating continuously for this prerecorded loop.
- You can manage a run with a 30-day maximum and verify plan eligibility and add-on charges in advance.
Look elsewhere or clarify first when
- You need the same always-on loop sent to platforms other than YouTube; OneStream documents its dedicated 24/7 feature as YouTube-only.
- You need an uninterrupted schedule beyond 30 days without renewing or scheduling another run.
- You need independently verified uptime figures, or need certainty about the precise qualifying plan and number of concurrent streams before checking with the vendor.
OneStream’s encoder feature is a distinct way to send a live input; it is not a requirement for the prerecorded cloud loop. A camera or other live production setup belongs to that separate workflow, not to the basic 24/7 prerecorded setup.
Monetization, copyright, and reused content
Using a streaming service does not make a channel eligible for monetization or guarantee ads. YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to livestreams, including originality, authenticity, and reused-content review. A repeated loop is not a shortcut around those rules, and ads are not guaranteed to serve even when a channel and stream qualify and monetization is enabled. You are responsible for the rights required to stream and archive the content, including music licensing where applicable. Review YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions and make sure the video is suitable for public broadcast before scheduling it.
Will YouTube save the whole 24/7 broadcast?
Do not rely on YouTube’s automatic archive to preserve a continuous stream. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all. A 24/7 broadcast exceeds that threshold, so use a separate recording or archive plan if you need a complete copy. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Common problems and what to check
- The 24/7 option is unavailable: check whether the account has the plan OneStream currently requires. Its help page says Enterprise is required, while the pricing page also advertises an add-on; ask OneStream to confirm the entitlement before upgrading.
- The scheduled stream stops or reaches its end date: check the scheduled duration. The documented maximum is 30 days, so arrange a new run before the current schedule ends.
- The stream is going to the wrong destination: revisit the connected YouTube channel and the destination selected for the scheduled event before it starts.
- The video cannot be used or raises a rights concern: confirm the file is available to OneStream and that you have the necessary rights for live streaming and archiving. A tool cannot clear copyright or reused-content issues.
- The full broadcast is missing from YouTube: check its duration. YouTube warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured, so use an independent recording when completeness matters.
