Which price comparison is fairest?
The entry prices compare different configurations: the Samsung starts with 6 GB/128 GB, while the listed Nord 6 starts with 8 GB/256 GB. The ₹14,000 gap is useful for comparing the cheapest published options, but not equivalent memory and storage. For a like-capacity comparison, Samsung’s announced 8 GB/256 GB A27 price of ₹37,499 is ₹10,500 below the OnePlus India listing for the 8 GB/256 GB Nord 6.

Battery capacity is not a runtime test
OnePlus states a 9,000 mAh Nord 6 battery; Samsung specifies a 5,000 mAh typical-capacity battery for the Galaxy A27 5G. Samsung also lists a 4,860 mAh rated minimum. These figures establish a capacity difference on paper, not how long either phone lasts in everyday use. Runtime depends on factors including display settings, network conditions, workload and software. Neither source is a controlled, independent head-to-head battery test, and no comparable runtime result is established here.

OnePlus describes its battery-endurance claim as a laboratory claim and says actual battery life may vary. Treat it as a manufacturer claim under specified test settings, not a promise of a particular number of hours in normal use.

Software support: update counts and timing
OnePlus states that the Nord 6 is eligible for four Android OS updates and six years of security updates delivered via OTA. Samsung promises up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, plus up to six years of security updates from the A27’s initial global launch date. Samsung’s wording is explicitly “up to”; the two companies describe their policies differently, so these figures do not by themselves establish identical update schedules or delivery dates.
Availability and regional price context
The rupee prices above are for India and should not be treated as prices in other markets. Samsung’s U.S. announcement says the Galaxy A27 5G would be available on Samsung.com from July 14, 2026, starting at $349.99. That U.S. price is a separate market listing, not a currency conversion of Samsung India’s price; taxes, configurations and promotions can differ. Samsung’s global page says availability begins July 3 in select markets, while Samsung India separately announced July 3 availability in India.
OnePlus’s cited listing is specifically for India. Its listed configurations and rupee prices do not establish availability or pricing elsewhere.

How to choose from the evidence available
- Choose by published starting price: Samsung’s lowest listed India configuration costs ₹14,000 less than the Nord 6’s lowest listed configuration, but has different RAM and storage.
- Compare equal storage: At 8 GB/256 GB, Samsung’s India launch price is ₹10,500 below OnePlus’s store listing.
- Prioritize stated battery capacity: OnePlus publishes the larger capacity, 9,000 mAh versus Samsung’s 5,000 mAh typical. This alone cannot predict comparative runtime.
- Want published screen and camera details: Samsung specifies the A27’s 120 Hz Super AMOLED display and rear-camera configuration. The reviewed OnePlus sources do not provide matching Nord 6 details for a fair comparison.
- Weigh the stated support windows: OnePlus lists four Android OS updates and six years of security updates; Samsung lists up to six Android/One UI upgrade generations and up to six years of security updates.
There is no grounded overall performance or camera winner in these sources: they provide no comparable independent benchmark, camera test, or battery-runtime result. OnePlus also claims 165 FPS gaming under specified test settings on its launch page, but that manufacturer figure is not a head-to-head gaming result and should not be read as one.
