The clearest published N6 advantages are its 8,000mAh battery and 45W charging; Xiaomi lists a sharper 1.5K AMOLED display and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. No matched benchmark or hands-on comparison establishes which is faster or takes better photos overall.

The comparison below keeps regional details visible. OnePlus’s N6 announcement describes an India-focused phone; the Redmi specifications are from Xiaomi Mexico. Listed configurations and availability may differ in other markets.

What the spec differences mean
Battery and charging
The N6 has the more clearly documented battery specification: OnePlus lists 8,000mAh and 45W SUPERVOOC. OnePlus also claims up to three days under typical use, but that is the manufacturer’s estimate, not an independent comparative battery test. Xiaomi’s 67W in-box charger figure is not a substitute for the Redmi’s missing battery-capacity detail or a measured charging time.

Display
Xiaomi lists a higher-resolution 1.5K AMOLED panel, while both manufacturers specify a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Brightness figures are not directly interchangeable: Xiaomi separates UHBM and typical brightness, while OnePlus gives a peak figure. These manufacturer specifications do not establish how bright either screen is in matched real-world conditions.
Performance
The phones use different processors, but the cited official material provides no comparable benchmark results. Chip names and clock speeds alone are not enough to rank everyday performance; the outcome can also depend on software, memory configuration and workload.

Cameras
The Redmi’s listed rear setup adds an 8MP ultra-wide camera and optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50MP main camera. OnePlus lists a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera, plus 1080p/60fps video. Xiaomi’s listed rear video modes top out at 1080p/30fps. These specifications describe different hardware and modes, not a verified overall photo-quality winner.
Durability
OnePlus lists an IP65 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification and drop protection up to 1.8m. Xiaomi presents a TÜV SÜD test involving 2m depth for 72 hours, while describing protection for everyday splashes. Those claims use different descriptions and test contexts, so they do not demonstrate that one phone is more water-resistant or durable than the other.

OnePlus N6 and Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G prices
OnePlus’s June 30, 2026 India announcement listed original prices of ₹22,999 for the 4GB + 128GB N6 and ₹24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB configuration. It also mentioned an eligible ₹2,000 instant bank discount. A separate Prime Day offer priced those configurations at ₹19,999 and ₹21,999 from July 4 to 6, 2026; that limited offer had expired by October 5, 2026. These are announced India prices, not verified current street prices.
OnePlus said open sales began July 4, 2026 through OnePlus India channels, Amazon.in, OnePlus Experience Stores and selected retailers. The official Xiaomi Mexico specifications page reviewed does not state a Redmi retail price. Because the price evidence is for different markets and lacks a matching current Redmi price, a numeric price difference cannot be responsibly calculated. For a useful comparison, check current prices in one country for equivalent storage configurations; do not convert the N6’s Indian launch price and compare it with a Redmi price from another market.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the OnePlus N6 if its published 8,000mAh battery, 45W charging or India-listed 128GB configurations fit your priorities. Treat OnePlus’s battery-life estimate as a manufacturer claim.
- Consider the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G if you prioritize the listed 1.5K AMOLED resolution, an ultra-wide rear camera, or a 256GB configuration in the Xiaomi Mexico listing.
- Compare local listings before deciding on value. The documented OnePlus prices are India launch figures, while no corresponding Redmi price is provided for Mexico.
The official specifications establish meaningful differences in battery disclosure, display resolution, camera configuration and listed memory options. They do not establish a performance winner, a camera-quality winner, or a current like-for-like price winner.
