Check the live price, seller and RAM/storage configuration for both phones before treating that as your saving. Which phone suits your priorities?
Choose by processing needs, not chipset names alone
The OnePlus 15 lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while Motorola lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. That is a meaningful difference in the published chipset tier, but the names alone do not establish how every game or app will perform, especially under sustained load. 91mobiles reports higher scores for OnePlus in its comparison, but the page does not provide enough detail here to audit matched test conditions; treat those scores as that site’s comparison, not a guarantee of everyday performance.
Prioritize resolution or gaming refresh rate
The Motorola panel has more pixels and is slightly larger: 3168 × 1440 on 6.82 inches, versus 2772 × 1272 on the OnePlus 15’s 6.78-inch display. OnePlus lists a higher maximum refresh rate specifically for gaming—165Hz, compared with Motorola’s listed 144Hz ceiling. Those numbers describe different strengths; consider which matters more for your content and games.
Consider zoom flexibility alongside camera resolution
The listed arrays are different: 91mobiles identifies a periscope camera on the OnePlus 15, while Motorola’s EMEA specification names a main sensor and an ultrawide but does not list a telephoto camera. That gives the OnePlus a more explicit listed zoom option on paper. Megapixel counts and component lists do not establish photo quality, so they cannot substitute for image comparisons.

Match charging to how you use the phone
OnePlus lists 200mAh more battery capacity and 120W wired charging; Motorola lists 90W wired charging plus 25W magnetic wireless charging in its EMEA specification. A rated capacity or charging wattage does not determine real-world battery life or charge time by itself. If you rely on magnetic wireless charging, Motorola is the one with that feature in the specifications reviewed; if you primarily use wired charging, OnePlus lists the higher wattage.
Read durability claims as protection ratings, not guarantees
Motorola’s support page says the Edge 70 Max “was tested against 16 categories and 14 MIL-STD-810H procedures to prove its toughness.” Motorola also cautions that those procedures do not guarantee future performance under the test conditions and that abuse such as MIL-STD testing is not covered by its standard warranty. IP ratings and glass specifications are useful distinctions, but neither phone is thereby immune to damage.
Check software terms for your market
Motorola’s EMEA support page lists up to 3 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates, while Motorola UK’s marketing footnote says 2 OS upgrades and up to 3 years of security updates. These regional statements differ, and the reviewed OnePlus specification page does not state a support period. Confirm the policy for the specific sales region and model rather than assuming one global term.

- Compare matching configurations: OnePlus lists 12/256GB and 16/512GB, while Motorola’s India storefront lists 8/256GB and 12/256GB. The EMEA specification lists 8/256GB. Match RAM and storage as closely as possible when comparing value.
- Use local availability: Motorola’s EMEA support specifications and India storefront do not show identical memory options. Network bands and other details may also differ by regional SKU.
- Verify the live transaction: Check seller, current offer, configuration and return or warranty terms on the listing for your country. Do not treat either dated price snapshot as a permanent price.

In the India price evidence checked on 2026-10-07, Motorola’s official store displayed the Edge 70 Max at ₹54,999, while 91mobiles showed ₹85,999 for OnePlus 15 and ₹53,199 for Motorola. The comparison-site numbers suggest a large OnePlus premium, but they are not a confirmed like-for-like official-price comparison. On specifications, OnePlus is the more compelling fit if you value its listed chipset tier, 16/512GB option, periscope camera listing or higher gaming refresh ceiling. Motorola is the stronger fit if you want a higher-resolution panel, magnetic wireless charging or the stated IP and durability features at its displayed India price.
