Which phone has the stronger performance specifications?
On the published chipset and storage specifications, the OnePlus 13R is the paper-spec choice: it lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and UFS 4.0 storage. OPPO India lists a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 storage for the Reno16. These details support a specification advantage for the OnePlus in platform tier and storage speed, but they do not establish real-world speed, gaming performance, heat behavior or battery efficiency. No independent benchmark results are available here.

Both listings include LPDDR5X memory. OPPO India offers the Reno16 with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while the OnePlus specification reviewed lists 12GB. Match memory and storage tiers when comparing local prices, rather than treating unlike configurations as equivalent.
How do the cameras differ?
The Reno16’s India camera arrangement covers more high-resolution roles on paper: OPPO lists 50MP main, ultrawide and 3.5x optical telephoto rear cameras, plus a 50MP autofocus front camera. The OnePlus 13R’s US product page lists a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP 2x telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide; its UK specification page lists a 16MP front camera.
The main practical distinction is camera coverage: the Reno16 has a wider-angle ultrawide specification and longer stated optical telephoto reach, while both have a 50MP main camera and telephoto hardware. Megapixel counts and lens specifications alone do not prove which phone takes better photos or video. If image quality is decisive, compare sample images from the exact regional models, especially in low light and at the zoom levels you use.

Battery, charging and display trade-offs
OPPO India lists a 6700mAh typical battery for the Reno16, with a 6490mAh rated figure; OnePlus lists 6000mAh typical for the 13R. OPPO also lists 80W SUPERVOOC charging, while the OnePlus US product page states 55W. These are capacity and charging specifications, not measured endurance or charging-time results. Regional charging specifications and included adapters can vary, so verify the exact retail SKU and box contents.
The OnePlus display is larger at 6.78 inches and lists a dynamic 1–120Hz LTPO 4.1 refresh rate. The India Reno16 display is about 6.32 inches, AMOLED, with a resolution of 2640 × 1216 and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The stated refresh behavior is not identical: OnePlus specifies a dynamic range, while OPPO’s cited details state a maximum refresh rate.
What is the price difference?
A reliable numeric price gap cannot be calculated from the available official listings because a comparable current OnePlus 13R price for the same country and storage tier was not established. OPPO India’s details page states ₹66,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB/256GB, inclusive of taxes, correct as of 31 August 2026; it also says prices may change. OPPO’s official India store listing shows the same two prices.

For a useful comparison, check both phones in the same market on the same date and compare matching configurations—ideally 12GB/256GB where available. Record whether a displayed price depends on a bank-card offer, exchange bonus or EMI plan. OPPO lists no-cost EMI starting at ₹5,583 per month for the 8GB/256GB Reno16 and ₹6,083 for the 12GB/256GB variant, alongside selected-bank discounts and exchange bonuses. Those are conditional offers, not cash-price reductions guaranteed to every buyer; terms can change.
Regional model, warranty and what comes in the box
Do not assume that an OPPO Reno16 sold outside India has the same hardware or price as CPH2865. OPPO explicitly notes that Reno16 series models in other countries differ. Check the model number, network compatibility, warranty coverage and local service terms for the handset you intend to purchase.
For the India Reno16, OPPO states a 12-month standard warranty. Its store listing describes a 30-day exchange window for a functionally defective device from delivery, subject to its process. The listed package includes a charger, USB cable, SIM ejector tool, protective case and quick guide; OPPO cautions that box contents may vary by market.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose based on listed processor and storage specifications: the OnePlus 13R lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and UFS 4.0. Treat this as a paper-spec distinction, not proof of a specific performance result.

- Prioritize the larger listed battery or faster stated charging: OPPO’s India figures are 6700mAh typical and 80W, compared with OnePlus’s 6000mAh typical and US-page 55W figures.
- Prefer a larger display: the OnePlus is listed at 6.78 inches; the India Reno16 is about 6.32 inches.
- Before paying: compare local prices for matching memory/storage, confirm the regional SKU and warranty, and check current stock and any conditions attached to discounts.
