The OnePlus 12R is the stronger choice on published processor specifications and offers a dedicated ultrawide rear camera; the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G counters with a higher 144Hz display refresh rate and a larger listed battery. There is no dependable single price gap to quote: India listings disagree on the Nord CE 6 price, and one comparison page reports the 12R unavailable. Compare the exact variant, seller, stock and checkout price before deciding.

Which phone is better for performance?
On the published chip tiers, the 12R is the performance-led option: OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while Beebom’s Nord CE 6 comparison lists a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That makes the 12R the more compelling specification-based pick for demanding apps and gaming. The available evidence does not include independent benchmark results or sustained gaming tests, so it cannot establish a measured performance gap or how either phone behaves under prolonged load.

How do their displays differ?
The 12R’s OnePlus US specification page describes a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED display with adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz. OnePlus advertises the Nord CE 6 with a 1.5K AMOLED display and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. The Nord CE 6 therefore has the higher stated refresh-rate ceiling, while the 12R’s listed adaptive range is a different advantage. Refresh rate alone does not establish which screen looks better overall; the available specifications do not support a broader display-quality verdict.

Battery capacity and charging: check the region
The Nord CE 6’s 8,000 mAh capacity, as listed by Beebom, is larger than the 12R’s 5,500 mAh typical capacity on OnePlus’s US specification page. That is a comparison of stated capacities, not a test of how long either phone lasts. Likewise, rated charging power does not tell you the actual time to charge.
For the 12R, OnePlus’s India launch announcement specifies 100W SUPERVOOC, while its US specification page lists 80W. Beebom lists 80W for the Nord CE 6. Check the specification and charger details for the exact regional model; do not assume the US 12R figure applies to an India unit.
Camera flexibility: the 12R has a dedicated ultrawide
Beebom’s comparison lists a 50MP wide, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro camera for the 12R, versus a 50MP wide and 2MP monochrome camera for the Nord CE 6. The 12R gives you a dedicated ultrawide option for fitting more into a frame. Megapixel counts and camera quantity do not establish image quality, and the available information does not include a controlled camera comparison.

OnePlus’s India Nord CE 6 store page lists 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage. For the 12R, OnePlus’s India launch announcement says up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage; its US specification page lists 8GB/128GB and 16GB/256GB. Those listings are not a guarantee that every combination is sold in every market. Match the RAM and storage you want, and confirm the precise regional SKU before purchase.
What is the India price difference?
The available India prices do not support one definitive current difference. OnePlus’s purchase-page snapshot lists the Nord CE 6 at ₹33,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹36,999 for 8GB/256GB, with ₹40,999 MRP displayed for the 128GB configuration. Beebom and Smartprix list the Nord CE 6 at ₹37,999 and the 12R at ₹39,999; Beebom also lists launch prices of ₹29,999 for the Nord CE 6 and ₹39,999 for the 12R. Separately, 91mobiles shows ₹37,999 for the Nord CE 6 at Amazon and reports the 12R unavailable in any store in its comparison price panel.
These figures differ by source, variant and listing context. Promotions, bank offers, stock and sellers can change the checkout price, and the comparison-site figures should not be treated as guaranteed live offers. Verify the exact model and storage variant on the retailer or OnePlus India page at the time of purchase.
Durability and box contents need SKU-level confirmation
Beebom reports IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the Nord CE 6 and says both phones’ comparison packages include a case and charger. The official pages available for this comparison do not provide a complete corresponding Nord CE 6 specification table or confirmed package contents. Treat these as secondary-source reports and verify the rating and in-box items for the exact regional model before relying on them.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the 12R if the published processor tier, a dedicated ultrawide camera, or a listed 16GB/256GB configuration matters most. Confirm local availability and the India-specific charging specification.
- Choose the Nord CE 6 if its advertised 144Hz display, larger listed battery capacity, or lower price on the exact offer you find is more important. Verify the variant, seller and regional specifications.
- Pause before buying either if your choice depends on measured battery life, gaming performance or camera quality: the figures here are specifications and secondary listings, not comparative hands-on test results.
