The OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10R share a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display class, but they use different chipsets, and their battery and charging figures depend on which market and edition you buy. OnePlus’s published pages do not establish a current price gap between the two phones, so this comparison covers specifications in detail and explains how to check prices properly instead of quoting a difference.
Specifications at a glance
| Spec | OnePlus 10T | OnePlus 10R | What to note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chipset | Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 | MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX | Different platforms. OnePlus’s pages do not include a controlled head-to-head benchmark. |
| Display | 6.7-inch, 2412 × 1080, 120 Hz Fluid AMOLED, HDR10+ (US spec page) | 6.7-inch, 120 Hz Fluid AMOLED; resolution not stated in the 10R launch overview | Headline display class is similar. Check full panel specs for your market. |
| Battery | 4,800 mAh (US spec page) | 4,500 mAh (150W Endurance Edition); capacity for the 80W edition not stated | Capacity varies by model and version. |
| Charging | 125W (US spec page); some regional 10T pages list 150W | 80W edition and 150W Endurance Edition | Wattage depends on the exact SKU and market. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP Sony IMX766 main with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro | 50 MP triple-camera system (launch overview; module breakdown not stated) | The 10T has more detailed official camera specs. |
| Price | Not verified as current. A US product-page search result showed “From $429.99” (undated) | No comparable current official price established | Prices need country, storage, condition, seller, and date. |
Chipset: a platform difference, not a proven winner
The 10T runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the 10R uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100-MAX. Chipset choice shapes sustained performance, thermal behaviour and power efficiency, but OnePlus’s published material does not include a controlled test that compares the two under identical conditions. Any claim that one is faster in games or everyday use would go beyond the official evidence.

Recommended Free Tools
- Use the same Android build and the same OxygenOS version on both devices, and note the exact build numbers.
- Run the same benchmark or game, with the same graphics settings and screen brightness.
- Repeat a sustained test for 15 to 20 minutes and record frame-rate stability as well as peak scores, because thermal throttling often matters more than the first minute of results.
- Test with a fully charged battery and the same ambient temperature, and avoid running tests while the phone is still charging.
Display
Both phones are presented as 6.7-inch AMOLED panels with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which makes them similar on paper. The 10T’s official US specification page adds a 2412 × 1080 resolution and HDR10+ support. OnePlus’s 10R launch overview does not state a resolution, so the two cannot be compared on pixel count from that material alone. For a precise comparison, check the full spec page for the exact market you plan to buy in.

Battery and charging depend on the edition
This is the area where readers most often compare the wrong numbers. The figures below come from different pages and different editions, so they should not be read as a single rating for each phone.
| Model and edition | Battery | Charging | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| OnePlus 10T (US specification page) | 4,800 mAh | 125W | OnePlus US 10T specifications page, undated (accessed 2026) |
| OnePlus 10T (some regional pages) | Not stated in the regional listing reviewed | 150W | Regional OnePlus 10T pages, undated |
| OnePlus 10R 150W Endurance Edition | 4,500 mAh | 150W | OnePlus 10R launch announcement, 2022 |
| OnePlus 10R 80W edition | Not stated | 80W | OnePlus 10R launch announcement, 2022 |
The 150W Endurance Edition’s battery-life claim
OnePlus says the 10R 150W Endurance Edition’s Battery Health Engine is designed to keep the battery at 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. This is a manufacturer claim made in the 2022 launch announcement, not an independent test, and it applies only to that edition.
Why the 125W and 150W figures both appear for the 10T
The 125W figure is the one on the US specification page. Some regional OnePlus 10T pages list 150W, so a 10T bought in another country may carry a different charging rating. Confirm the wattage on the box or the seller’s listing before assuming which adapter you will receive.

Cameras
The 10T’s official specifications list a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP macro lens. OnePlus describes the 10R as a 50 MP triple-camera system without giving the module breakdown in its launch overview. The hardware descriptions are useful for comparing the camera setups, but OnePlus’s material does not establish how the two cameras compare in real photos, and this article does not make that judgement.

A reliable price difference needs current prices for both phones in the same country, with the same storage, condition and edition, checked on the same day. OnePlus’s published material does not provide that. Calculating a gap from launch pricing, an old starting-price display, or listings from different countries would produce a number that does not describe what you can buy today.
What the US price result shows and does not show
A search result for OnePlus’s US 10T overview page displayed “From $429.99.” The page is undated, the figure is not a checked live offer, and it has no matching 10R price to compare against. Treat it as a historical reference point only.

What a usable price comparison should record
- Country and currency, with the retailer’s tax and shipping terms.
- Exact model: 10T or 10R, and for the 10R, whether it is the 80W or 150W Endurance Edition.
- RAM and storage configuration.
- Condition: new, refurbished or remaining stock, and the warranty that comes with it.
- Seller and listing URL.
- The date the price was checked.
Record these fields for both phones on the same day, and the difference you calculate will reflect a real purchase choice rather than a mismatched pair of listings.
How OnePlus positions the 10R
In its 2022 launch announcement for the 10R, Navnit Nakra, India CEO and Head of India Region at OnePlus, said: “The OnePlus R series exists to make the seamless integration of top-of-the-line hardware and software more accessible to a wider audience of gaming enthusiasts.” This is OnePlus’s own positioning of the R series, not independent evidence of gaming performance.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the 10T if you want the more detailed official camera specification and the Snapdragon platform, and you can confirm the 125W or 150W charging rating on the exact unit you are buying.
- Choose the 10R if the Dimensity platform and the gaming positioning suit you, and you are buying the edition whose charging and battery figures you have confirmed.
- Compare live prices before deciding, using the checklist above. The official pages do not settle which phone is better value.
Cases and accessories
Cases are model-specific. Device dimensions and camera cutouts differ between the 10T and 10R, so a case made for one should not be assumed to fit the other. Check the case listing for the exact model name before buying.
