The title does not specify the predicate, its two interpretations, or the three bugs, so those implementation details cannot be stated reliably without source code or an issue description. What can be established is the right architectural boundary: use the SDK for a focused custom content application, and make the predicate’s meaning, decision rules, and editing behavior explicit in the app.
What the Sanity App SDK does—and leaves to your app
Sanity describes the App SDK as a toolkit for custom React applications that interact with Sanity content, including live content and document operations. It is a platform layer, not a ready-made contradiction-management interface. Sanity’s App SDK introduction explicitly says it has no built-in form building, form validation, or schema validation; the app author chooses and implements those behaviors.

That boundary matters for a resolver. The SDK can connect an interface to content and operations, but it cannot decide whether a record is contradictory, choose between competing interpretations, or determine what a safe resolution should do. Those are application rules that must be defined against the actual content model and editorial workflow.
Define the predicate before implementing a resolver
The title names one predicate with two meanings and three bugs, but does not identify the predicate, the meanings, or the bugs. No specific diagnosis or correction follows from the title alone. A reliable implementation discussion would need the relevant code, issue description, or author-provided details; without them, assigning concrete meanings or bug fixes would be guesswork.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For the resolver itself, make the contract reviewable before wiring it to document operations:
- Write down the predicate’s intended meaning in terms of the actual fields and content types.
- Record each interpretation that the implementation currently applies, and identify which one is authoritative for the workflow.
- For each reported bug, capture an input that reproduces it, the observed result, and the expected result.
- Separate detection from resolution: show why an item was flagged before offering a change to the document.
These are design safeguards, not claims about the unspecified three bugs. They keep a custom app’s decision logic distinguishable from the SDK’s content-access capabilities.

Choose an App SDK app or Studio customization
The main architectural choice is where the workflow belongs. The App SDK supports a custom application, while Studio’s Structure Builder customizes the organization and navigation of Sanity Studio. Sanity’s Structure tool documentation describes Studio organization and workflow customization; its Structure Builder introduction notes that highly complex custom views may be better suited to the App SDK.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Option | Where the interface runs | Best-supported fit |
|---|---|---|
| App SDK | A custom application hosted through a Sanity Dashboard. | A focused content application needing its own interface and workflow. The documentation does not define a specific complexity threshold for choosing it. |
| Studio Structure Builder | Inside Sanity Studio. | Customizing Studio organization, lists, panes, views, and workflows. |
For a contradiction resolver, the decision is not simply “custom versus standard.” If the job is to rearrange Studio navigation or present a tailored Studio view, Structure Builder may fit. If it needs to be a distinct content-operations experience with its own interaction model, the App SDK is the relevant path. The documentation supports this broad distinction, not a particular verdict for an implementation whose requirements are unknown.

Design the app as a focused React workflow
Sanity’s App SDK best-practices guide frames these apps as focused authoring experiences and recommends thinking in SPA terms rather than defaulting to a conventional SSR or statically generated frontend. For a resolver, that means organizing the interface around the decisions an operator must make: inspect a flagged item, understand the reason, review relevant document data, and take an intentional action.
Query performance should be considered with the actual data model in hand. The guide warns that GROQ queries used with useQuery need performance care and describes optimized handling when hooks such as useDocuments and usePaginatedDocuments return filtered document handles. That guidance is not a universal prescription to use one hook: select the data access pattern that matches the resolver’s filtering, result size, and interaction needs.

Plan editing and validation deliberately
Because forms and validation are not built in, the app must decide what the operator can edit, what counts as valid input, and how the result is communicated. Validation should reflect the content model and the resolver’s own decision rules; it should not be presented as a built-in App SDK feature.

Sanity’s editing documents guide describes multiple editing approaches. Its Agent Actions section is marked experimental and warns that APIs may change and documentation may not be completely accurate. If an implementation uses useAgentPatch, check the current reference and treat that approach as experimental rather than as a stable default.

Check setup requirements against current documentation
Sanity’s App SDK introduction lists React v19 or later, Node.js v22.12 or later, the @sanity/sdk-react package, and a Sanity Dashboard to host an app. These are documented requirements as of the introduction’s August 18, 2026 update; they may change, so verify the current page before starting a project. The same introduction notes a Safari development limitation, which is worth checking if Safari is part of the intended development workflow.
