Why a PC builder might want the iMini 2
Working inside a PC case can mean trying to spot a screw, cable, or connector in a shadowed corner while both hands are occupied. The iMini 2 is small enough to carry on a keychain and has a magnetic base that can hold it to an iron surface. Olight says the magnet is intended to leave both hands free; it will not attach to every case panel, since the material must be iron.

One commenter on the Slickdeals listing described using the light during PC builds to see screws, fan cables, and wiring inside a case. That is an individual anecdote, not a product test or evidence that all builders will find it useful.

What the iMini 2 offers

- Other listed specifications: 115 candela, 21 m beam distance, IPX6 water resistance, and 1.5 m drop resistance.
These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. Olight’s manual says its figures were tested by the company under ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 and are provided for reference. A 50-lumen light is suited to close-up visibility, but its output and 60-minute listed runtime do not make it a substitute for a brighter work light during extended jobs.
