What Old School had already announced for 2026
Jagex had outlined substantial 2026 content before RuneFest. These announcements provide context, but they should not be described as news from the RuneFest keynote.

Jagex also ran the “A Ruff Situation, Crab Quest & Bronzeman Mode” poll, dated August 14–21, 2026. Its existence is a separate pre-RuneFest fact; it does not establish that those proposals or Menaphos were announced at the keynote.
How to assess a Menaphos announcement
A pre-event prediction is not evidence of what happened on stage. A Reddit thread asking what players hoped to see at RuneFest was published before the event and offers speculation, not confirmation. The discussion should not be used to report a reveal.
For a reliable confirmation, look for a dated Jagex or Old School RuneScape post-event announcement, an official stream recording or transcript, or a clearly attributable statement from Jagex. Until one establishes the details, claims about Menaphos, accompanying quests, release timing, prerequisites, or approval status remain unverified.
Merchandise is separate from the game announcement
