The report describes Oklahoma as the 12th state supported; it is the 13th listed option if Puerto Rico is included. Google’s published eligibility list and Service Oklahoma’s information reviewed on October 7, 2026, had not yet confirmed Google Wallet support, so check the Wallet app for the option on your device.
Can you add an Oklahoma ID to Google Wallet?
As of October 7, 2026, 9to5Google reported that Oklahoma IDs were appearing as an option in Google Wallet. That is evidence of a rollout, not confirmation that all eligible Oklahoma residents can enroll. The practical check is in the app: open Google Wallet and see whether Oklahoma is offered during ID setup.

The count depends on what is included. The report lists 13 options in total, counting Puerto Rico; Oklahoma is the 12th state on that list. Google’s published Help Center list at the time did not yet name Oklahoma. 9to5Google’s October 5 report and Google’s current ID eligibility and setup page therefore describe different points in the rollout.
What you need to enroll
- An Android phone running Android 9 or newer.
- Bluetooth and Nearby devices enabled.
- A screen lock set up on the phone.
- A valid physical Oklahoma driver’s license or state ID, if Oklahoma is available as an in-app choice.
How to add an ID in Google Wallet
- Open Google Wallet and tap Add to Wallet, then ID card.
- Select your issuing state if it appears, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Photograph the front and back of the physical card, then record the short face video requested by Google Wallet.
- Submit the information for issuer verification. Google says the issuer receives the submission with your consent; wait for verification before relying on the digital credential.
If scanning fails, use good lighting, place the card against a dark background, keep it steady, and make sure any barcode is visible. If Oklahoma does not appear in the state list, the reported rollout has not reached your account or device yet.

Oklahoma’s own digital ID is separate context
Service Oklahoma describes its Digital ID as a free, optional digital version of an Oklahoma driver’s license or state ID that supplements rather than replaces the physical credential. Its page says users must be at least 18 and hold a valid physical Oklahoma credential. It also says the former Oklahoma Mobile ID app was decommissioned in 2024, and users must enroll again through a device’s wallet app. The agency page reviewed does not identify Google Wallet as an available destination.
Service Oklahoma announced support for Oklahoma ID in Apple Wallet on September 2, 2026. That announcement applies to eligible residents with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch; it does not establish general Android or Google Wallet availability.

Where the digital ID can—and cannot—replace a card
Google says IDs in Wallet are encrypted on the device and protected by personal authentication. Before presenting an ID, you can review what information is being requested. Google also says you can remotely delete the digital ID if your phone is lost. These protections do not make the credential universally accepted: a business, agency, or other verifier must support the digital ID.
Keep your physical Oklahoma ID with you. Google advises users to retain the physical credential, and a digital ID is not a universal substitute. For domestic air travel, Google’s Help Center says a Wallet ID that is not REAL ID compliant will not be accepted at TSA checkpoints. Google’s product page also says travelers must present physical ID if TSA requests it. Check current TSA guidance and checkpoint signage, since availability varies.
