An offline-first JAMB study routine can keep practice available when internet access is unreliable, but offline access alone is not evidence of better scores. Start by confirming your UTME subject combination for your intended course and institution with JAMB’s IBASS Eligibility Checker. Then study syllabus topics, practise questions offline, review mistakes, and use timed CBT sessions periodically as format rehearsal—not as a guarantee of exam success.
Start with the right UTME subjects
Before making a timetable, identify the course and institution you are aiming for and verify the required UTME subject combination through JAMB’s IBASS Eligibility Checker. JAMB’s FAQ specifically directs candidates to IBASS for course-specific combinations. Choosing subjects first and checking later can leave a gap in your preparation.

Registration is a separate administrative step: JAMB says candidates can register only at approved CBT centres. Its FAQ page includes information for the 2025 application cycle, so dates, fees, and other cycle-specific details on that page should not be treated as current instructions for a later cycle. Check JAMB’s current notices before acting.
Build a repeatable offline-first study loop
Use the same basic sequence for each subject area. It makes offline question practice part of learning and review, rather than a substitute for learning the syllabus.
#1 Best Overall
- Choose one syllabus topic. Use class notes, a textbook, or another trusted lesson to learn the concept. A question bank can help you practise, but should not be assumed to cover the whole syllabus.
- Prepare for offline use. While you have a reliable connection, install the app and confirm that the questions, notes, or other content you need are available without a connection. Offline features vary by app and may require setup or downloads.
- Answer a focused set of questions. Practise the topic you have just studied. If the app offers different modes, use topic practice for focused work and exam mode for timed rehearsal.
- Review each mistake. Record the topic, your chosen answer, and why it was wrong. Revisit the underlying concept before moving on. Treat app answers and explanations critically; user reviews sometimes report content problems, but individual reports do not establish how common errors are.
- Choose the next block from your error log. Return to topics where you made mistakes or could not explain your answer. Topic-level practice or performance history, where available, can help you decide what to revisit.
- Run a timed CBT session periodically. Use it to practise pacing and become familiar with answering under time pressure. An app’s CBT mode is a rehearsal, not proof that its interface exactly matches the current official exam environment.
This is a planning framework, not a scientifically validated timetable. The available sources do not establish an ideal session length, number of study weeks, pass probability, or score increase.

Google Play listings describe offline features in both 3thirty JAMB CBT Offline and ExamGuide JAMB UTME CBT. These descriptions are provided by the publishers, not independent audits of syllabus coverage, answer accuracy, or learning outcomes. Compare tools against your own needs rather than treating ratings or download counts as proof that one app is more accurate.

Before settling on any question bank, check which subjects and topics it covers, whether explanations are provided, what remains available offline after setup, and whether you can review performance or report a suspected error. Also confirm that it works on your device. Neither app should be treated as an official JAMB product or a source of guaranteed exam questions.

Offline access is useful because it lets you continue with prepared materials when a connection is unavailable. It is a convenience feature, not evidence that a particular app or routine improves results. Set up and test offline access in advance; do not wait until you are disconnected to discover that a resource needs to be downloaded or opened online.
You do not need to assume that a special device is required. The app listings establish Android availability, but do not show that a tablet is necessary or improves scores. Start with a compatible device you already have and check the app’s listing for compatibility.

For subject combinations, use JAMB’s IBASS Eligibility Checker. For registration, dates, fees, and other instructions, consult current JAMB notices and follow the instructions for the relevant examination cycle. Older FAQ or manual information can be useful context, but should not be carried forward as current policy without confirmation.
