अगर OBS में Media Source काला दिख रहा है, तो पहले पता करें कि समस्या OBS preview में है या YouTube पर जाने वाले stream output में। OBS में सही फ़ाइल चुनें, source को visible रखें, ऊपर के sources से ढका न होने दें और playback settings जाँचें। अगर preview सही है लेकिन YouTube पर वीडियो काला है, तो छोटा recording test करके OBS के वास्तविक output की पुष्टि करें—सिर्फ bitrate बदलना हर black-screen समस्या का समाधान नहीं है।
पहले पहचानें: काली स्क्रीन कहाँ दिख रही है?
- OBS preview में Media Source काली है: फ़ाइल, source properties, playback और scene layering से शुरुआत करें।
- OBS preview सही है, YouTube पर काली है: छोटा recording test करें और पुष्टि करें कि OBS का actual program output वही scene दिखा रहा है जिसकी अपेक्षा है।
- वीडियो कभी दिखता है, फिर रुकता या काला होता है: playback state देखें। अगर साथ में stutter, encoding overload या dropped frames भी हों, तभी performance या network की जाँच करें।

OBS Media Source को क्रम से ठीक करें
1. सही फ़ाइल और Local File पथ जाँचें
- OBS के Sources dock में Media Source चुनें और Properties खोलें।
- Local File में देखें कि इच्छित वीडियो फ़ाइल ही चुनी है। यदि source किसी पुराने या हटाए गए पथ की ओर इशारा कर रहा है, सही फ़ाइल फिर से चुनें।
- यदि संदेह हो कि फ़ाइल ही समस्या है, तो एक छोटी, ज्ञात-सही clip से परीक्षण करें। OBS के Media Sources पृष्ठ में वीडियो extensions के रूप में
.mp4,.ts,.mov,.flv,.mkv,.avi,.gifऔर.webmसूचीबद्ध हैं; audio extensions में.mp3,.aac,.oggऔर.wavशामिल हैं। Extension अकेले यह साबित नहीं करता कि फ़ाइल का codec या पूरा encode हर परिस्थिति में काम करेगा।
2. Visibility और source की परतें जाँचें
- Sources सूची में Media Source के eye/visibility control को चालू रखें।
- सूची में उसके ऊपर मौजूद Color Source, overlay या दूसरी दृश्य सामग्री को अस्थायी रूप से छिपाएँ। OBS में ऊपर का source preview में नीचे वाले source के ऊपर दिखाई देता है और उसे ढक सकता है।
- यदि source किसी दूसरे scene में है, तो सुनिश्चित करें कि आप उसी scene को देख रहे हैं जिसमें Media Source जोड़ा गया है।

3. Playback properties को लक्षण के मुताबिक बदलें
- Restart playback when source becomes active: source के active या visible होने पर फ़ाइल फिर से शुरू करनी हो तो चालू करें।
- Loop: फ़ाइल खत्म होने पर उसे दोहराना हो तो चालू करें।
- Show nothing when playback ends: यह विकल्प चालू हो तो फ़ाइल समाप्त होने के बाद source छिप सकता है; छोटी clip खत्म होने पर खाली या काली जगह दिख सकती है।
- Close file when inactive: source inactive होने पर फ़ाइल unload हो सकती है; दोबारा दिखाने पर reload में थोड़ा समय लग सकता है।
- Use hardware decoding when available: संगत decoder मिलने पर वीडियो decode करने में GPU का उपयोग हो सकता है। यदि समस्या जारी रहे, इसे चालू और बंद करके एक-एक बदलाव के बाद परीक्षण करें; यह हर black screen का निश्चित fix नहीं है।

4. VLC Video को दूसरे playback path के रूप में आज़माएँ
अगर फ़ाइल और scene जाँचने के बाद भी Media Source उसे नहीं चला रहा, तो VLC Video source से उसी फ़ाइल का परीक्षण किया जा सकता है। यह अलग playback path है, कोई सार्वभौमिक इलाज नहीं। इसके लिए सिस्टम पर VLC स्थापित होना चाहिए; OBS स्पष्ट करता है कि 64-bit OBS के साथ 64-bit VLC चाहिए। VLC Video playlist और विस्तृत media support के लिए भी उपयोगी हो सकता है।
OBS preview सही है, लेकिन YouTube पर वीडियो काला है?
पहले छोटा recording test करें
- OBS के output और scene की जाँच के लिए कुछ सेकंड की recording बनाएँ। OBS Quick Start Guide पहले settings देखकर Start Recording या Start Streaming से परीक्षण करने की सलाह देता है।
- Recording में भी Media Source काली हो तो समस्या OBS scene या source path में है; फ़ाइल, visibility, layering और playback properties पर लौटें।
- Recording सही हो लेकिन YouTube stream काली हो, तो OBS के actual program output और live में भेजे जा रहे scene की तुलना करें। Preview को अकेले इस बात का प्रमाण न मानें कि वही दृश्य प्रसारित हो रहा है।
OBS का Quick Start Guide शुरुआती परीक्षण के लिए recording या streaming चलाने की प्रक्रिया बताता है। सामान्य SDR Media Source black screen के लिए उपलब्ध आधिकारिक निर्देश किसी एक सार्वभौमिक YouTube toggle की पुष्टि नहीं करते।

Black screen के साथ stutter या stream error हो तो
Encoding overload: rendering और सिस्टम संसाधन देखें
यदि वीडियो झटके खा रहा है, source रुक-रुककर आता है या OBS “encoding overloaded” दिखाता है, तो यह केवल फ़ाइल की समस्या नहीं हो सकती। OBS को scene composite और render करने के लिए GPU संसाधन चाहिए। OBS की सलाह के अनुसार output resolution या frame rate घटाएँ, भारी sources और filters कम करें तथा scene को सरल करें। Windows पर GPU overload के लिए OBS को administrator के रूप में चलाना एक quick fix के रूप में सूचीबद्ध है; इसे इसी तरह के overload लक्षण होने पर आज़माएँ। विवरण: OBS Encoding Performance Troubleshooting.
Dropped frames: network connection की अलग जाँच करें
OBS के अनुसार dropped frames remote stream server तक अस्थिर connection या चुने गए bitrate को बनाए न रख पाने का संकेत हैं। Upload stability और bitrate जाँचें; VPN, security software या network optimizer को अस्थायी रूप से जाँचें; Wi‑Fi के बजाय wired connection आज़माएँ और network उपकरणों की स्थिति देखें। एक स्थिर फ़ाइल source काली हो तो केवल bitrate घटाना उचित पहला fix नहीं है। अधिक जानकारी: OBS Stream Connection Troubleshooting.

HDR की स्थिति में अलग सावधानी
YouTube का आधिकारिक HDR निर्देश OBS के साथ HDR stream के लिए अलग setup बताता है, जिसमें HDR source, संगत hardware HEVC encoder और कुछ OBS तथा stream-format आवश्यकताएँ शामिल हैं। यह विशेष HDR workflow है—इसे सामान्य SDR Media Source black screen का समाधान न मानें। YouTube की शर्तें देखें: Stream HDR video on YouTube.
