There is no real-world test showing whether Obamium or Adamantite is stronger: both are fictional names, and Adamantite’s properties depend on the game or story using it. For real metals, “strongest” needs a defined measure—such as tensile strength, hardness, toughness or performance at high temperatures.
Are Obamium and Adamantite real metals?
No. Obamium is a hypothetical element imagined in a 2016 interview; Adamantite is a fantasy material used in different games and stories. Neither has a standardized chemical identity or agreed set of engineering properties, so there is no shared laboratory basis for comparing them.

Obamium is a thought experiment
In a 2016 Forbes report by Eric Mack, engineer and YouTube educator Destin Sandlin asked Barack Obama to imagine an element named after him. Obama said, “I would want it to be stable,” and described wanting a useful catalyst that would not become too hot or too cold—not simply a shiny object. The exchange proposes desirable qualities; it does not define a real element or give it measured strength.
Adamantite depends on its fictional setting
There is no single authoritative Adamantite canon. A game or story may assign the name its own attributes, crafting rules or combat statistics. Those are properties within that setting, not measurements that can be carried over to another work or compared with real metals. For example, a Muck armor guide discusses material use in that game; it does not establish universal properties for Adamantite.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Why “strongest” needs a definition
Materials do not have one all-purpose strength score. A meaningful comparison identifies the property being measured and the conditions of the test. A metal that performs well in one respect may be brittle, hard to fabricate or unsuitable for another job.
- Tensile strength is resistance to being pulled apart. The temperature and form of the material matter.
- Hardness is resistance to indentation or scratching. It does not, by itself, show how well a material resists cracking or impact.
- Toughness concerns how much energy a material can absorb before fracturing; brittleness describes a tendency to fracture with little deformation.
- Melting point and high-temperature performance matter under heat, but do not rank every other kind of strength.
- Density is mass per volume, not a measure of strength.
- Fabricability matters in practice: a material must be workable into a useful part for many applications.
What real metals show about strength trade-offs
Tungsten: notable under heat, but difficult to work when contaminated
PubChem’s tungsten record, drawing on descriptions from Los Alamos National Laboratory and Jefferson Lab, identifies tungsten as having the highest melting point of any metal and the highest tensile strength above 1650°C. Those are specific advantages, not proof that tungsten is best by every measure. The same record notes that contaminated tungsten becomes brittle and difficult to work. Tungsten carbide, a compound rather than the metal itself, is used in drill bits, high-speed cutting tools and mining machinery.

Osmium: very hard, yet brittle and hard to fabricate
PubChem’s osmium record describes osmium as extremely hard but brittle and very difficult to fabricate. It is used mainly in hard alloys for applications where resistance to frictional wear matters, including pen tips, instrument pivots, phonograph needles and electrical contacts. Its hardness therefore does not make it an uncomplicated choice for every demanding application.

Density is a separate comparison
PubChem’s periodic-table density data lists osmium at 22.57 and iridium at 22.42. These figures concern density, not strength. The osmium record also notes that the relative density of osmium and iridium is disputed in the underlying measurements and calculations, so density should not be used to settle a strength ranking.

How to compare fictional materials fairly
- Name the setting. Identify the particular game, book, film or other work that defines the material.
- Choose the property. Decide whether “stronger” means more damage in a game, higher tensile strength, greater hardness, better heat resistance or another explicit measure.
- Keep the evidence in its category. Fictional statistics describe rules in a setting; laboratory measurements describe tested materials under specified conditions. One cannot substitute for the other.
Without a named fictional setting and a stated measure, the direct answer to “Which is stronger, Obamium or Adamantite?” is that neither can be ranked against the other. There is no real-world materials test comparing them.
