NVIDIA common stock trades on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under ticker NVDA. The company split its stock 10-for-1 in June 2024 and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share for payment on October 1, 2026. Whether NVDA is overvalued cannot be answered from revenue growth alone: a current share price and valuation multiple were not verified for October 7, 2026, so this guide explains what the available company figures do—and do not—show.
What is Nvidia’s stock ticker?
NVIDIA Corporation’s common stock trades on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker NVDA. The company’s fiscal 2026 Form 10-K identifies the ticker and exchange: NVIDIA Form 10-K for fiscal 2026.
Is Nvidia stock overvalued?
The evidence available here does not establish a current answer. A share price, market capitalization, and price-based valuation multiple for October 7, 2026, were not verified. Without those inputs—and without specifying the measure and period—calling NVDA overvalued or undervalued would overstate what is known.
What valuation multiples can and cannot tell you
A price-to-earnings ratio relates a share price to earnings per share. A trailing P/E uses earnings already reported for a defined period; a forward P/E uses an estimate for a future period. Any comparison should label which one it uses, give its reporting period or estimate horizon and data source, and compare like with like. A multiple is a comparison tool, not a fair-value verdict by itself.

For context, NVIDIA reported $96.2 billion in revenue for Q2 FY2027, up 106% year over year; that quarter ended July 26, 2026. It also reported $215.9 billion in FY2026 revenue, up 65% year over year. These company-reported results document substantial growth, but neither figure alone establishes whether the shares’ market price is justified. See the Q2 FY2027 earnings release and FY2026 results release.
To assess valuation, compare NVIDIA with its own historical multiples and relevant peers using consistent reporting periods and accounting bases. Consider expected growth, margins, cash generation, customer and supplier concentration, export exposure, and sensitivity to supply and capital spending. No specific peer comparison or target price is established here.

Did Nvidia split its stock?
Yes. NVIDIA effected a 10-for-1 stock split in June 2024. Shareholders of record at the close of market on June 6 received nine additional shares after the close of market on June 7. The company’s Form 10-K says share and per-share amounts are retrospectively adjusted for the split.
Mechanically, the split multiplied the share count by ten and divided the pre-split price per share by ten. It did not, by itself, change a holder’s proportional ownership or the total value of that holding at the moment of adjustment. Subsequent market movements can change the share price and the company’s market capitalization. The split details are in NVIDIA’s fiscal 2026 Form 10-K.

Does Nvidia pay a dividend?
Yes. NVIDIA raised its quarterly cash dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share on May 18, 2026. Its Q2 FY2027 earnings release declared a $0.25-per-share payment on October 1, 2026, for shareholders of record on September 10, 2026. Those dates describe that declared payment, not a continuing schedule for future payments. The company’s filing says future cash dividends remain subject to the board’s determination that declaring them is in shareholders’ best interests. Details appear in the Q2 FY2027 release and Form 10-Q for the quarter ended July 26, 2026.
