The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro makes a credible case for itself with adaptive noise cancellation, three drivers in each ear cup, and a broad feature set. But at £349 on Nothing’s UK store when checked in 2026, it is a costly upgrade over the cheaper Headphone (a)—and the large, heavy case and manufacturer-rated battery life complicate the premium pitch. It is best for listeners who value its feature mix and detailed sound more than portability or lowest cost.
What’s new about the Headphone (1) Pro?
Nothing’s official UK product page describes a three-driver system in each ear cup: a 40 mm bass dynamic driver, a 13 × 8 mm precision dynamic driver and a compact solid-state xMEMS treble driver. Nothing lists a 20 Hz–40 kHz frequency range. Those are specifications, not proof that every listener will hear a meaningful improvement over a conventional driver design.

The headphones also support Bluetooth 6.1, AAC, SBC and LDAC playback, dual-device connection, Auracast broadcast audio, head-tracked spatial audio, Personal Sound and a physical Flat EQ switch. For wired listening, Nothing specifies USB-C audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz and AUX audio up to 24-bit/96 kHz. The resolution you actually hear depends on the source and connected device. Nothing’s product page has the full specification list.

A September 28, 2026 review report by Charles E. Dabbs describes effective ANC and a detailed, well-integrated presentation. The reviewer also praised the driver integration, reported clear calls in their testing and found the fit more comfortable. These are that reviewer’s impressions, not guaranteed results for every listener. The report says testing lasted two weeks; it is a republication whose page attributes copyright to TechRadar, and the original publisher page was not independently verified. Read the review report.
The sound preference question matters as much as the driver count. Dabbs considered the Pro detailed, but said listeners who prefer the cheaper Headphone (a)’s more energetic sound might not find the change worthwhile. “More detailed” and “more enjoyable” are subjective, so if possible, compare both with familiar music and the same source before buying.

How long does the battery last?
Nothing Support gives these maximum playback figures under its test conditions: 25°C, 50% volume and default settings. They are manufacturer claims, not promises of everyday runtime; volume, source, interference, features and usage habits can change results.
| Codec | ANC off | ANC on |
|---|---|---|
| AAC | Up to 68 hours | Up to 30 hours |
| LDAC | Up to 53 hours | Up to 28 hours |
Nothing also advertises up to four hours of playback from a five-minute charge with ANC off, or up to two hours with ANC on, under manufacturer test conditions. See Nothing Support’s battery-life details.

The review report’s author considered endurance modest relative to the Headphone (a), but the comparative battery figures it cites should not be treated as current verified specifications. Compare manufacturer runtimes using the same codec and ANC setting; a headline maximum with ANC off is not comparable to a figure with ANC on.
Is it comfortable and practical to carry?
Nothing lists the headphones at 327 g and the hard-shell case at 383.5 g. The case is heavier than the headphones themselves, a meaningful consideration if you carry them in a bag every day. The reviewer likewise objected to the case’s size and weight, though no packed dimensions are provided in the cited material.

The box includes the headphones, case with strap loops, a 3.5 mm audio cable, a USB-C cable and a quick-start guide. The official page gives the product an IP52 rating based on laboratory testing, but explicitly says it is not waterproof. It is not intended for showers, swimming or water sports; the rating should not be read as permission to immerse or deliberately soak the headphones. The official listing provides the included-items and resistance details.

These are reported launch or list figures, not live quotes. Prices, stock and regional availability can change; check the retailer or manufacturer in your market before deciding. The figures do show the Pro positioned well above the Headphone (a) at launch, while the reported Sony comparison was more expensive. They do not establish which headphone is better value today.
Who should buy the Headphone (1) Pro?
- Consider it if you want adaptive ANC, LDAC and wired listening options, a broad feature set and the reviewer-described detailed sound, and you are comfortable with the price and bulky case.
- Compare with the Headphone (a) if price or a more energetic sound is your priority. The surfaced review report favors the Pro’s refinement but questions whether that change merits the premium for everyone.
- Look beyond it if light packing or maximum battery endurance is more important than the Pro’s features. Compare current local prices, matched ANC-and-codec battery estimates, comfort, case weight and your own sound preference rather than relying on one headline specification.
Verdict
Third time is a stronger showing, not an automatic recommendation. The Headphone (1) Pro combines ambitious hardware, useful connectivity and ANC that one reviewer rated positively, but its £349 UK listing and heavy case make the value case less convincing for buyers who do not specifically want its feature set. The review report scored it 4/5 for sound, 3/5 for value and 4/5 overall; those are the reviewer’s ratings, not an independent test result.
