The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is a feature-rich wireless over-ear headphone built around an unusual three-driver design. Nothing claims up to 46 dB of adaptive noise cancellation and up to 68 hours of AAC playback with ANC off; those are manufacturer figures, not guarantees of everyday performance. TechRadar’s September 2026 review places it in the premium field and compares it with Sony’s WH-1000XM6, but the available evidence does not establish a controlled head-to-head result. That makes the Pro worth investigating—not an automatic upgrade over a Sony or another premium rival.
What is distinctive about the Headphone (1) Pro?
Nothing combines familiar over-ear headphone features with a three-driver arrangement: a 40 mm bass dynamic driver, a 13 × 8 mm precision dynamic driver, and a 3.2 × 6.0 × 1.15 mm solid-state xMEMS treble driver. The company also lists spatial audio with head tracking, Personal Sound, Flat EQ, tactile controls, multipoint Bluetooth, auto-wear detection, and IP52 dust and water resistance. These are features on the product specification, not proof that its sound, fit, or noise cancellation will suit every listener.

Nothing says the headphones have undergone “50,000+ rounds of testing.” That is the company’s own statement; the product page does not describe it as an independent certification or provide a publication year for the claim. Check the official product page for the specification applicable to your market, since Nothing’s UK page notes that product text and images may be adjusted to reflect differences across batches.
How long does the battery last?
Nothing specifies up to 68 hours of AAC playback with ANC off and up to 30 hours with ANC on. Its support specification also gives up to 53 hours using LDAC with ANC off and up to 28 hours using LDAC with ANC on. Nothing says its internal battery tests were conducted at 25°C and 50% volume under default conditions; codec, ANC, volume, source, environment, and use affect real-world results. Treat these figures as ceilings under the manufacturer’s stated conditions, not a promise for every listening session. See Nothing’s Headphone (1) Pro support information for its battery and product specifications.
#1 Best Overall
- Triple Driver Architecture: Experience balanced, detailed audio with Nothing Headphone (1) Pro wireless headphones, built around a dedicated three-driver system featuring a 40 mm bass driver, precision driver, and treble XMEMS driver. Each driver is engineered to handle part of the frequency range, working together to unlock deeper bass, sharper vocals and richer textures across music, gaming, and more.
- Certified Hi-Res Audio for wireless and wired listening: Enjoy high-quality wireless audio with LDAC, or connect via USB-C for lossless, high-fidelity playback at up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
- 10-Mic Real-time Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation: Nothing Headphone (1) Pro delivers up to 46 dB of Active Noise Cancellation with 10 microphones and a new silicone sound seal. Ten microphones monitor your surroundings and automatically adjust noise cancellation in real time to reduce unwanted background noise. A new 8 mm silicone wall baffle wall inside the ear cushion provides passive isolation, while Transparency Mode lets you hear your surroundings when needed.
- Studio-Level Tuning with Metropolis Studios: Nothing partnered with Metropolis Studios, home to some of the world’s most influential audio engineers, to bring studio-level tools to Nothing Headphone (1) Pro noise cancelling headphone. Listen to the raw track with Flat EQ for reviewing music, producing or mixing, discover new EQ Profiles and feel what it's like to listen in a recording studio through a unique Dynamic Spatial Audio mode.
- Spatial Audio & Advanced EQ: Dynamic Spatial Audio has five modes: Standard, Studio B, Live House, Club and Concert Hall. Advanced EQ gives you precise control over your sound, letting you drag tuning points across multiple drivers.
What connections and audio formats does it support?
- Wireless: Bluetooth 6.1, with AAC, SBC, and LDAC listed for music.
- USB-C: Nothing lists lossless audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit.
- 3.5 mm AUX: Nothing lists Hi-Res audio up to 96 kHz/24-bit.
The listed maximums describe support, not what every setup will deliver: the source, file or stream, connection, and playback chain matter. The 3.5 mm cable and USB-C cable are included in the box, according to Nothing.
How does it compare with Sony’s WH-1000XM6?
TechRadar’s September 29, 2026 review compares the Headphone (1) Pro with Sony’s WH-1000XM6 and Nothing Headphone (a), and its headline characterizes the Pro as “a strange case, but sonically not without merit.” That is one publication’s assessment, not a consensus or a controlled direct comparison. The evidence available here does not establish comparable independent measurements for ANC, comfort, call quality, sound tuning, or battery life across the models.

TechRadar reported a review-time price of $399 in the US and £349 in the UK. Its Australian price is inconsistent within the review: the prose gives approximately AU$655, while its comparison table gives approximately AU$699. Those are publication-time figures, not verified current prices; check local listings before comparing. For a meaningful decision, compare the models at the price you can actually buy them for, then weigh fit, controls, tuning and EQ, codec and wired options, battery results under comparable conditions, case and accessories, and replacement-part support. See TechRadar’s review for its own evaluation.
What comes in the box, and can you replace the cushions?
Nothing lists a hardshell case, strap loops, 3.5 mm audio cable, USB-C cable, and quick start guide in the box. The headphones weigh 327 g according to Nothing’s product specification; weight alone cannot establish how comfortable they will feel over a long session or on a particular head.

Nothing’s support page says owners should contact Nothing support to purchase replacement ear cushions. A compatible third-party or Amazon cushion listing has not been verified, so check fit and availability with Nothing rather than assuming generic pads will work.
Who should consider buying it?
- Consider it if the three-driver design, combination of wireless and wired listening, and Nothing’s listed features match what you want—and you can judge comfort and controls with a return option.
- Compare carefully if your priority is the best ANC, call quality, or long-wear comfort: the cited review does not establish a controlled comparison for those points.
- Check before ordering if you rely on a particular codec, a stated high-resolution wired mode, or replacement cushions. Confirm the specification and support route for your region and product batch.
A buyer weighing Nothing’s Headphone (a), Headphone (1), or Headphone (1) Pro against Sony’s XM4 is asking a useful comparison question, but the available review coverage here focuses on the WH-1000XM6 instead. It does not settle which of those options is the better buy.
