De Nomad Stratos is een schakelband voor Apple Watch met Grade 4-titanium buitenstukken, flexibele FKM-segmenten en een magnetische sluiting. Nomad ontwerpt hem met name voor Apple Watch Ultra, maar noemt ook compatibiliteit met bepaalde Series- en SE-modellen. Controleer vóór aankoop de officiële maattabel voor uw specifieke model en kastmaat: alleen de millimeters op de kast zijn niet genoeg om de juiste uitvoering te kiezen.
Hoe is de Nomad Stratos-band gemaakt?
Volgens Nomad bestaat de buitenkant van de schakels uit Grade 4-titaniumhardware, gemaakt met metal injection molding. Tussen de titaniumdelen zitten compression-molded FKM-segmenten. Een magnetische sluiting houdt de band vast. Die combinatie geeft de band een metalen uitstraling met flexibele delen; het is geen volledig metalen schakelband.

Nomad zegt dat de FKM-segmenten met de polsbeweging meebuigen en positioneert de Stratos voor dagelijks gebruik en actieve omstandigheden. Dat beschrijft de ontwerpintentie van de fabrikant, niet een onafhankelijk vastgestelde draagervaring. Nomad vermeldt een gewicht van 52 gram, een lug width van 35 mm en een link width van 23,6 mm. Nomad noemt ondersteuning voor Apple Watch Ultra 1–3, Series 1–11 en SE 1–3. Voor de Ultra/46mm-uitvoering vermeldt Nomad kastmaten van 49, 46, 45, 44 en 42 mm, maar compatibiliteit bij 42 mm hangt af van de modelgeneratie. De officiële gids groepeert Ultra- en 46mm-formaten samen; oudere 42mm-kasten vragen extra aandacht.

Kies daarom niet uitsluitend op basis van de kastmaat die op uw horloge staat. Controleer in Nomads officiële Stratos-compatibiliteitsgids of uw combinatie van serie en kastmaat wordt genoemd. De model- en maatcombinaties kunnen verschillen, ook wanneer twee horloges hetzelfde aantal millimeters hebben.
Past de band om uw pols en kunt u hem zelf verstellen?
Nomad ontwerpt de band voor polsomtrekken van ongeveer 130 tot 200 mm. De opgegeven bandlengte bij verzending is 168 mm. Er zit een versteltool in de doos, zodat u schakels kunt verwijderen om de pasvorm aan te passen. Meet uw pols en controleer dat het beoogde bereik bij uw pols past voordat u bestelt.

De fabrikant geeft niet aan dat elke pols binnen het opgegeven bereik dezelfde pasvorm zal hebben. De magnetische sluiting en uw voorkeur voor een strakke of lossere pasvorm spelen ook mee. Raadpleeg de product- en maatinformatie van Nomad als u twijfelt over de juiste afstelling.
Wat zijn de water- en onderhoudsadviezen?
Nomad noemt de band waterbestendig en adviseert hem na contact met water volledig te laten drogen. Dat is het advies van de fabrikant; het vormt geen onafhankelijke zwem- of waterbestendigheidstest. Volg voor gebruik rond water de actuele richtlijnen van Nomad en Apple voor uw specifieke horloge en band.
