No More Room in Hell 2 is an eight-player co-op zombie survival shooter, released for PC and consoles on August 11, 2026. Steam lists a 1080p/30 Hz, Low-settings minimum target and a 1080p/60 Hz, High-settings recommended target; those are published targets, not a guarantee for every PC. Once you’re in a match, survival depends on teamwork, managing infection and supplies, completing the mission, and deciding when to extract.

Compare your full system—especially its graphics card, processor and RAM—with the requirements below. The figures and experience targets are from the game’s Steam listing. They are the store’s stated minimum and recommended specifications, not independent benchmarks or a promise that every system with those parts will perform identically.

Torn Banner Studios describes an eight-player cooperative shooter built around mission objectives, scarce shared resources, infection and extraction. Players take the role of Responders, and a character can be lost permanently. The game includes proximity voice chat, multiple zombie types, and progression that can improve a Responder’s starting gear and perks after successful missions. The official overview is on Steam.
The game’s two mission styles have different rhythms: one sends teams through larger maps to complete a sequence of objectives, while the other centers on defending a position against waves. The distinction matters when choosing how to spend a preparation window, where to focus the team, and when to pursue extraction.

How do Objective and Survival missions differ?
| Mission style | Map and pace | Main goal | Extraction rhythm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Objective | Larger maps; progress through a sequence of tasks. | Complete the CRC objectives and reach extraction. | Extraction comes after the mission sequence. |
| Survival | Smaller maps; prepare for incoming waves. | Set up around speaker systems, then defend them while waves draw zombies away from civilians. | Complete three waves for helicopter extraction. Failing two waves opens early extraction. |
These mode details come from the developer’s official Steam announcements and 1.0 notes. In Survival, the speaker defense and wave count define the match’s structure. In Objective missions, the task sequence across a larger area is the priority.
How to improve your chances as a beginner
Coordinate over supplies and danger
Resources are scarce and cooperation is central to the game, so communicate what the team needs and where threats are building. Proximity voice chat supports nearby coordination; the Steam listing describes it as a game feature, but does not make a microphone headset a stated requirement.

Respond to infection before it becomes a crisis
According to the developer’s 1.0 notes, Phalanx pills delay infection, while gene therapy can cure it and provide immunity. The notes describe gene therapy as a single spawn per match. Tell teammates when infection becomes a concern and coordinate treatment rather than assuming the rare cure will be available later.
Use the preparation window in Survival
Spend the time before a wave looting and setting defenses around the speakers, then hold the position through the wave. The objective is not simply to kill zombies: the speaker systems draw waves away from civilians, and the team must complete the defense sequence to earn the regular helicopter extraction.

Follow the mission sequence in Objective scenarios
On a larger Objective map, focus the group on the stated CRC tasks and the route toward extraction. The official notes establish a sequence of objectives followed by extraction; they do not establish a universal best route or a map-specific tactic that applies to every team.
Choose extraction with the cost in mind
Early extraction can be a way to preserve a Responder when a run is going badly, but it has a progression trade-off. The developer’s 1.0 notes say early extraction gives no character progression and only a small share of Credits. Final extraction awards character XP and Credits based on team supplies. Treat the decision as a balance between the chance to finish and the risk of losing the character—not as a free shortcut.

How can you practice without risking a Responder?
Solo Mode is intended for learning maps, objectives and combat, or experimenting with a prepared Responder. The developer’s 1.0 notes say it has no traditional progression and no permadeath risk. They do not say that Solo Mode awards the progression available from a normal match, so use it for familiarity rather than assuming it will advance a character.
What is confirmed about the game’s release and updates?
Steam lists August 11, 2026 as the PC release date, and Torn Banner announced that the game left Early Access and launched on PC and consoles that day. On August 20, 2026, the development team reported that more than 1,000,000 players had played since Early Access, including 500,000 from the 1.0 launch onwards on PC and consoles. Those are studio-reported figures, not independently audited counts. The statement appears in the team’s August 20 developer blog.
That same blog described multiple updates planned for 2026, including two for autumn, and discussed fixes, controller refinements, new content, weapon attachments, and further Solo and Survival development. These were plans stated on August 20, not confirmation that every item has since shipped. Patch status can change; consult the official Steam announcements for current update information.
