Nivalis Nights Patch 01.10, dated 1 October 2026, delivers early fixes for staff workflows, skills, quests, visuals, collision, save-load performance and chess, alongside several performance improvements. It does not include a fix for every issue: quest-log text can still become illegible after the log is hidden and restored, and the studio’s stated workaround is to reload the save.
What Nivalis Nights Patch 01.10 changes
The Nivalis Nights team described the update as a quick response to bugs reported during the first 24 hours after launch. Its official Steam announcement lists the following fixes and improvements. The notes do not include measured frame-rate results.
- Performance: Improvements to character actions, animations and physics.
- Staff and ingredients: Improved the staff order-taking workflow and fixed an issue that could cause the action to repeat when ingredients needed restocking. Managers’ behavior when buying ingredients was also improved.
- Skills: Fixed business and barter skill levelling.
- Quests and tutorials: Clarified the Ramen Noir objective for adding decorations and plants, and corrected a tutorial objective that could be confusing if you bought only the quantities listed on the shopping list.
- Vehicles and travel: Improved visibility from the boat cockpit and reduced nausea. Added a note explaining how to skip travel transitions.
- Furniture and visuals: Fixed furniture configuration issues and a Level of Detail slider problem that could set the value to zero and cause visual artifacts. Lower mouse-sensitivity settings are now supported.
- Movement and camera: Fixed character collision with geometry and a camera-performance problem that worsened after repeated save loads.
- Chess: Fixed castling when the king is under check.
Where to find decorations and plants for Ramen Noir
For the clarified Ramen Noir objective, the patch notes point to home furniture retailers in Eastern Residential, Hive Mall and Central Canyon. They sell the decorations and plants used for the in-game objective.
Quest-log text can still become illegible
The studio lists a known issue in which holding J to hide the quest log, then restoring it after some time, can make the log text illegible. It says the fix was already made internally but could not be included in Patch 01.10. If it happens, the stated workaround is to reload your save. This issue is not fixed by this patch.

What the studio said was planned for a later patch
The announcement says the team was preparing light culling to improve rendering in larger scenes, along with additional character-simulation performance work. The studio said these changes needed more testing and that players could expect them with the next patch; it did not give a release date or a frame-rate target. They are plans, not features delivered in Patch 01.10.
