The June 21, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown featured three Money in the Bank qualifying matches. Chelsea Green, Carmelo Hayes and Andrade won them. The six-man reference in the headline points to the eventual men’s ladder-match field—not to six superstars whom Nick Aldis is confirmed to have invited.

Who qualified on SmackDown on June 21, 2024?

Three triple-threat qualifiers took place on the June 21 episode. WWE’s official recap records these winners:

Division Qualifier Winner
Women’s Bianca Belair vs. Michin vs. Chelsea Green Chelsea Green
Men’s Randy Orton vs. Tama Tonga vs. Carmelo Hayes Carmelo Hayes
Men’s Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller vs. Andrade Andrade

How the matches ended

Green capitalized after Belair hit Michin with the K.O.D. In the other men’s qualifier, Kevin Owens neutralized Tonga Loa and Orton sent Tama Tonga to ringside before Hayes rolled up Orton. In the remaining men’s match, Andrade turned the tables after Owens and Waller collided around Owens’s injury.

Who were the six men in the 2024 Money in the Bank ladder match?

The eventual men’s ladder-match lineup was Jey Uso, Andrade, Chad Gable, Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight and Drew McIntyre. WWE’s official match page lists all six. Andrade and Hayes qualified on June 21; the other four names were part of the final field, not winners of that episode’s three qualifiers.

The match was for the Money in the Bank contract. WWE listed the event for Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with Peacock in the United States and WWE Network elsewhere. That is the original event listing; it does not establish which service currently carries an archive or replay.

Did Nick Aldis invite six superstars?

The available official June 21 recap does not say that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis invited six superstars. A contemporary Wrestling Inc. report instead covered Aldis announcing extra security at the Chicago venue. In a video announcement reported that day, he told attendees, “If you are coming to the Allstate tonight, please be patient with us.” The report said the video appeared on WWE’s X account.

So the defensible distinction is that the episode had three qualifiers, while the eventual men’s ladder match had six entrants. The sources cited here do not substantiate the claim that Aldis invited those six.

Don’t confuse June 21 with the following week

WWE’s June 28 SmackDown recap covers a separate round of qualifiers. Tiffany Stratton, LA Knight and Naomi won their triple-threat matches that night. Those results are not part of the June 21 episode.
