After more than five weeks with the HigherDOSE Infrared Sauna Blanket, Wareable reviewer Emilija Lipskytė reported feeling calmer and sleeping better on days she used it. She did not notice weight loss or a change in her skin. Those are her personal observations, not proof that the blanket produces the same results for other people or treats a health condition.
What happened during the review?
Lipskytė says the blanket felt comfortable and that adjusting its heat was easy. The warmth at level 5 felt pleasant to her, and during early sessions she sweated less than she would in a traditional sauna. She found the optional insert made the session cozier.

Her main drawback was the time commitment: she describes sessions as taking around an hour. After using the blanket regularly for more than five weeks, she said she felt more relaxed and calmer, particularly in the evenings, and that her sleep seemed better on days she had a session. What the blanket’s specifications mean in practice
HigherDOSE lists nine heat levels, a maximum setting of 175°F, one heat zone, a one-hour timer, and a power draw of 350–420 watts. The published electrical specifications distinguish models by market: 100–120 volts for the US/Canada model and 220 volts for UK/EU models. The company also lists a one-year limited warranty. Sephora lists the blanket at 71 × 31 inches and describes it as having a handheld remote. Its listing also shows the towel insert as a separate accessory, priced at $89 when that page was accessed; price and availability can change. Check the retailer listing for current details.

How to use and clean it
HigherDOSE’s current product page gives these general instructions: preheat the blanket on a heat-safe surface for 10–15 minutes, wear clothing that covers the skin or use the insert, begin with 30–40 minutes at a comfortable setting, and hydrate. It recommends starting with one or two sessions a week and building from there. Let the blanket cool before wiping it down. - Stop if you feel unwell. Lipskytė advises starting at a lower setting and stopping if you become dizzy, nauseated, or lightheaded; this is her reviewer advice, not a substitute for the manual or medical guidance.
- If you are pregnant, have a cardiovascular condition, or take medication that can affect heat tolerance, Lipskytė advises consulting a clinician before use.
- Allow the blanket to cool, then wipe it down as directed. A towel can provide a barrier, but confirm whether the insert is included or sold separately.
Do infrared sauna blankets help with weight loss or health conditions?
Lipskytė did not observe weight loss. More broadly, the available evidence cited here does not establish that this particular blanket causes meaningful weight loss, detoxifies the body, or treats disease. HigherDOSE markets benefits including detoxification, calorie burn, circulation, recovery, mood, and skin, but those are manufacturer claims; the product page’s survey descriptions do not provide enough methodology to assess how representative or independently validated the results are.

Mayo Clinic’s overview, dated September 13, 2024, says some studies suggest infrared saunas may help with certain conditions, including high blood pressure, heart failure, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, headache, type 2 diabetes, and arthritis. It also says larger, more precise studies are needed, and notes that some of the studies involved traditional sauna users. The product pages also report consumer-survey responses, which should not be mistaken for clinical findings. HigherDOSE’s undated page attributes results of 95% feeling more relaxed and 90% feeling less stressed after one session to an independent survey of 1,044 sauna blanket users. Sephora’s undated listing reports 90% feeling less stressed, 95% feeling more relaxed, and 92% loving their blanket, attributed to an independent survey of 1,440 participants. The sample sizes differ, and neither set of percentages establishes a medical effect.

Is it worth buying?
It may suit someone who wants an at-home heat session, is comfortable with the time involved, and sees relaxation—not a promised medical or weight-loss outcome—as the possible benefit. The review offers a positive personal account of comfort and relaxation, but not evidence that every user will sleep better.
