Motorsport Manager 2 is an unreleased PC game planned for Steam in 2027. Playsport Games says the sequel will expand team management and race-day strategy, add motorbike racing to the series, and support mods from launch. Those are announced plans, not a verdict on a finished game; Steam currently lists it as not yet available, and no exact release date has been announced.
What is Motorsport Manager 2?
Motorsport Manager 2 is a motorsport-management game in development at Playsport Games, with Miniclip listed as publisher. The announced platform is PC via Steam. The official Steam listing gives 2027 as the planned release year and says the game is not yet available. Playsport’s official announcement also says it is in development for PC and coming to Steam in 2027.
Players take the role of a team principal: they build a team, develop its people and equipment, and make decisions that shape performance across a season. The release timing and features remain pre-release plans, not guarantees about the final game.
What will players manage?
Playsport says players will hire drivers, build parts, manage staff, develop young drivers, expand headquarters, balance finances, and plan for the long term. The Steam description adds facilities, driver and staff relationships, contracts, team orders, changing rules, and power-unit development. It also describes a livery editor for creating a team identity.

That makes the announced management layer broader than choosing a driver lineup: personnel, infrastructure, budgets, technical development, and relationships all feed into the team’s direction. The descriptions do not establish how detailed each system will be in the finished game.
How are race weekends supposed to work?
Race-weekend decisions are announced to include car setup, pit strategy, tyre choices, and energy deployment. Players will also need to respond to traffic, fuel, car condition, and weather. Playsport says rival teams will adjust their strategies in response to race events rather than simply follow a fixed plan.

The Steam description says weather can move across the circuit, leaving different parts of a track with changing conditions at the same time. It highlights undercuts, overcuts, pit stops, safety cars, and tyre timing as strategic considerations. In a preview of gameplay, Top Gear reports seeing driver mistakes, cars running onto grass, weather radar maps, and more detailed livery customisation. Those observations describe preview footage, not independent testing of the finished game.
Which racing disciplines are included?
Playsport and Steam announce returning single-seater, GT, and endurance racing, alongside motorbike racing for the first time in the series. Steam says the bike mode will have its own riders, teams, championships, and challenges. Top Gear’s preview describes open-wheel cars in an F1 style, endurance prototypes, and bikes.

The game is unlicensed. Playsport says real motorsport is inspiration, not a licensing constraint; the setting is intended to allow fictional racing worlds rather than imply official real-world championships or teams. The Playsport Team’s announcement puts it this way: “We remain an unlicensed game, freedom is one of the biggest advantages of Motorsport Manager 2.” That should not be read as confirmation of official F1, MotoGP, or other series branding.
What does day-one mod support mean?
Playsport says mod support is being built in from day one and anticipates community-made championships, teams, drivers, racing worlds, challenges, and vehicles. Top Gear also reports that support is planned for launch and says a prominent modder of the original game joined the design team.

The available announcements do not specify the mod tools, technical limits, or how mods will be distributed. “Day one” is the developer’s stated plan, not a description of a documented workflow players can use today.

The best way to read the announcements is as a promising feature outline: the sequel aims to combine season-long team building with reactive race strategy, while adding bikes and community-created content. Whether all of those systems deliver the intended depth will only be clear when the game is available.
