The TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G has the larger display, higher maximum refresh rate and bigger stated battery; Motorola’s Edge 60 Fusion lists faster wired charging and a smaller screen. Motorola’s specification and price vary by market, and the available figures do not establish a current, like-for-like price difference. Check the variant and local listings before deciding.

These are manufacturer or regional specification figures, not independent measurements. Motorola warns that some specifications vary by market. Its cited regional listings differ on battery capacity, so check the exact local model rather than assuming every Edge 60 Fusion has the same battery. Motorola’s specifications and TECNO’s specifications are the references for the table.

Which display is better?
On published figures, the TECNO offers a slightly larger screen at 6.78 inches and a maximum 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola’s 6.67-inch panel is listed at 120Hz and has a higher stated resolution of 2712×1220, compared with TECNO’s 2644×1208. Both are high-refresh OLED-type displays: Motorola specifies pOLED, while TECNO specifies AMOLED.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe higher refresh ceiling on the POVA is a specification advantage, not proof that every app or game will run at 144Hz. TECNO lists selectable refresh options of 144, 120, 90 and 60Hz. Neither specification sheet establishes which screen looks better in person, how well either performs outdoors, or how much battery each refresh setting uses.

Battery and charging: capacity versus speed
TECNO lists a 6,500mAh battery, larger than either of Motorola’s cited regional figures: 5,200mAh or 5,500mAh. That gives the POVA the edge in stated capacity, but capacity alone cannot determine real-world battery life. Screen settings, software, network conditions and usage all matter, and the available figures do not provide a controlled battery-life comparison.
Motorola lists 68W wired charging, while TECNO lists 45W. These are rated charging capabilities; they do not establish how many minutes a full charge takes. Actual charging time can depend on factors such as the included charger, temperature and the phone’s charging curve.

Software, performance and configuration
TECNO’s published software is newer by version number: HiOS 16 based on Android 16, versus Android 15 on Motorola’s cited regional pages. That alone does not settle which phone is the better long-term choice. The available sources do not establish update duration, rollout timing by country or how frequently either model will receive security updates; check the manufacturer’s local support terms if that matters to you.
Both use a Dimensity 7400-family chip, but TECNO names its version Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G. The supplied specifications do not include benchmark results or independent performance testing, so the model names are not enough to declare a speed winner.

Storage configurations differ in the published details: Motorola’s cited listing names 256GB, while TECNO lists 256GB or 512GB. TECNO’s advertised memory figures include extended or virtual RAM, which uses storage as additional memory and should not be counted as equivalent to physical RAM. Check the exact RAM and storage combination sold in your country.
Durability and cameras
The cited Motorola regional listing specifies IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD-810H certification for its described variant. TECNO advertises IP69K/69/68/66 protection for the POVA 8 Pro 5G. These are manufacturer-published ratings and claims; they do not mean either phone is indestructible, and protection can depend on the exact variant and conditions.

TECNO’s product page advertises a Sony LYTIA 700C 50MP camera with OIS and an “Alive Matrix Display.” Those descriptions are not independent findings, and the available evidence does not establish comparative photo or video quality. It also does not provide enough corresponding Motorola camera detail for a fair hardware comparison.

A matching current TECNO price was not established, so a numerical price difference cannot be calculated reliably. To compare what you would actually pay, check both phones in the same country on the same date and match storage tiers—especially if comparing TECNO’s 256GB and 512GB options. Account for local promotions and seller terms as well as the headline price.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if its published larger display, up-to-144Hz refresh rate, 6,500mAh battery or 512GB storage option best fits your priorities, and its local configuration and price are suitable.
- Consider the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion if you prefer a slightly smaller display, the cited 68W charging rating, or the Motorola variant and local support available to you.
- Before buying either one, verify the exact regional model, battery and memory configuration, network-band compatibility with your carrier, update-support terms and current local price. The cited specification evidence does not settle network compatibility or identify an overall winner.
