Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →On the listing snapshot checked for this comparison, the Moto G86 Power sells for ₹17,835 and the OnePlus N6 5G for ₹24,999, a gap of ₹7,164. Treat that gap as provisional. Motorola India pages showed the Moto lower, at ₹16,999 and ₹17,999, and OnePlus’s India launch page places the N6 in the ₹15,000–₹20,000 segment. On specifications, the N6 has the larger stated battery and a slightly larger screen. The Moto has the higher listed display resolution, an AMOLED panel, and a rear ultrawide camera in the comparison listing.
The price gap, and why it is not settled yet
Phone prices on marketplace and retailer pages change with stock, seller, bank offers and exchange deals, so a single displayed figure is a dated reading rather than a fixed price. The sources checked for this comparison show the following:

|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles comparison page | ₹17,835 (Amazon listing) | ₹24,999 (Amazon listing) | A third-party display of retail listings at the time of access. Not a guaranteed price. |
| Motorola India Moto G family page | ₹17,999 | Not stated on this page | Motorola’s own catalog price for the Moto, which changes over time. |
| Motorola India homepage | ₹16,999 | Not stated on this page | A separate homepage price for the Moto on the same storefront. |
| OnePlus India launch page | Not stated | Described within the ₹15,000–₹20,000 India smartphone segment | A segment description tied to the launch, not a listed selling price. |
The OnePlus figures do not reconcile. The ₹24,999 listing and the ₹15,000–₹20,000 segment description may reflect different dates, offers or storage configurations, and the sources checked do not say which. Use the live listings for each phone, with the same storage and RAM configuration and the same seller, before drawing a price conclusion.
Specifications side by side
Motorola’s US support page carries a caution that specifications may vary by market, so the Moto column below should be read against the India-market product sheet where one exists.

Specification conflicts to resolve before you choose a variant
- Chipset. Motorola’s US page names the Dimensity 7300. The 91mobiles comparison names the Dimensity 7400 in its summary and its detailed section. Confirm the chip on an India-specific Motorola product sheet or the retail box before treating either as the India configuration.
- Memory and storage. The US page describes 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage with no memory card. The 91mobiles comparison refers to a 128 GB version. These may be different markets or different variants, so match the storage tier on the listing you are buying.
- Display panel label. Motorola’s US page says AMOLED. The 91mobiles summary says P-OLED, and its detailed table also says P-OLED. Both are OLED-type panels, but the label should match the India product sheet.
- Market variation. Motorola’s own support page says specifications can vary by market, so no single column in this table applies to every country.
What the specification differences mean in use
Battery: a rated capacity is not a runtime
The N6 carries the larger stated capacity, at 8,000 mAh typical and 7,780 mAh rated equivalent, against 6,720 mAh for the Moto variant on Motorola’s US page. A higher capacity can support longer use, but the phone’s power draw, screen, software and charging behaviour determine the result. Motorola’s “up to 50 hours” is its own claim, and the captured text does not state the test conditions behind it. 91mobiles publishes battery-test results for both phones, including PCMark battery tests. Those are its results, under its test conditions, and they should be cited as such.
Display: resolution and panel type answer different questions
The Moto’s listed 2712 × 1220 resolution is much higher than the N6’s listed 720 × 1570. The N6’s screen is the larger of the two at 6.8 inches. Pixel density is a useful way to combine these figures. Calculated from the listed dimensions, not measured, the Moto works out to about 446 pixels per inch and the N6 to about 254 pixels per inch. The Moto will generally look sharper on text and fine detail, while the N6 gives more screen area. The LCD panel on the N6 is also a different panel type from the Moto’s OLED, which affects contrast and black levels.
Cameras: lens count is not image quality
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera. The Moto’s comparison listing adds an 8 MP ultrawide and a 32 MP front camera, against an 8 MP front camera on the N6. Those are hardware listings. Megapixel count, sensor size, processing and lens quality all shape photo results, and this comparison does not test them.

Durability: matching labels, different ratings
Both phones carry a MIL-STD-810H listing, which is a military-standard drop, temperature and vibration test rather than a waterproof rating. The water ratings differ. The Moto’s US page lists IP68 and IP69, while the N6’s launch page lists IP65. The two ratings should not be read as equivalent immersion protection, and the Moto’s rating should be confirmed for the India variant.

Software support: a vendor promise with a stated limit
OnePlus describes the N6’s fluency protection in these words: “60-Month Smooth Experience means the OnePlus N6 passed 60-month fluency testing in the OnePlus Test Lab through software, hardware, and other optimizations.” The same page says this “does not guarantee absolutely no lag.” Treat it as OnePlus’s own testing claim. The pages checked do not state Motorola’s software update commitment for the Moto G86 Power.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Performance: no winner declared from these sources
A fair performance comparison needs the exact chipset, memory configuration and test conditions for each phone. The Moto’s chipset is in conflict across sources, and the N6’s chipset is not stated in the pages checked. The benchmark results published by 91mobiles are its own tests, and they are not a like-for-like comparison of the two phones in this article. This article therefore does not rank the two on speed.
Which phone fits which priorities
- Choose the Moto G86 Power if a sharper OLED screen, an ultrawide rear camera and the IP68/IP69 listing matter more to you, and the live listing for the India variant comes in lower than the N6.
- Choose the OnePlus N6 5G if battery capacity, a larger screen and the 45 W charging figure from 91mobiles matter more, and you accept that the N6’s chipset and memory details need confirming on the India listing.
- Do not decide on price alone until both prices are checked for the same storage and RAM configuration, on the same day, from the same seller.
Checklist before you buy
- Open the live listing for each phone and select the same RAM and storage configuration.
- Compare the final price after bank and exchange offers, and note the date you checked.
- Look for the charger in the box and confirm its wattage, since the 30 W and 45 W figures come from different sources.
- Check the 5G bands supported by the exact India variant against your carrier. The Motorola band list covers the US variant, and the OnePlus pages checked do not provide a comparable list.
- Confirm the chipset and panel type on the India-specific product sheet for each phone.
Motorola’s India storefront lists the Moto G86 Power at motorola.in/moto-g-family, and OnePlus’s current India product details are at oneplus.in/n6.
