Where to find the Squall Stone
The route below is reported by Nerd’s Chalk, updated August 25, 2026. It is a secondary guide, not an official map or firsthand account.

- Cleanse the Executioner’s Pulpit Beacon. It is in Prisoners’ Domain, near the Tishina’s Confessor fight. The guide says cleansing it opens the linked Central Sewers.
- Take the elevator beside the beacon. It leads down into the sewers.
- Follow the main sewer route. Break barriers and deal with enemies as you proceed.
- Work through the gate-and-lever rooms. Shoot the target to raise the first gate, then pull the levers to open the subsequent doors.
- Clear the challenge room. Defeat its enemy gauntlet and press the room’s buttons to reveal the route onward.
- Open the chest in the side chamber. The guide’s quick-location summary places it near the iron-maiden ghost room.
The chest is in the Central Sewers, not on the beacon platform. The item is spelled Squall Stone; “Squail Stone” is a misspelling.
What the Squall Stone does
Squall Stone is a Sidearm Tarstone. An Open Beta client-text snapshot, identified as build 24459107 and checked August 18, 2026, describes its effect this way: “Projectiles spin in place for a duration after hitting their target.” That wording establishes the basic behavior in that build, but not necessarily the balance of a later retail version.

Nerd’s Chalk reports the following values. Treat them as guide-reported figures rather than independently verified current values: the guide itself notes disagreement over whether the stone has three or four ranks.

Sidearm compatibility and practical use
An unofficial, fan-maintained Mortal Shell II database lists the Squall Stone as compatible with the Salvaged Trebuchaxe. Because that listing is not official, confirm compatibility on the item’s in-game display before building around it.

How it differs from other projectile Tarstones
The same Open Beta client-text snapshot describes two alternatives by their projectile patterns:
- Splitting Stone fires multiple projectiles without additional Resolve.
- Myriad Stone fires multiple projectiles in an arc without additional Resolve.
Those descriptions and Squall Stone’s post-hit spin effect come from the build 24459107 snapshot; they are not independent tests of damage or effectiveness. The useful distinction is the effect you want: a lingering spin after impact, multiple projectiles, or multiple projectiles in an arc.
