Where is Proxima in Mortal Shell 2?
Head north from Blackridge Pass through Blackridge Cliffs toward the isolated, glowing Shattered Beacon. The route and location are described in unofficial guides, including the Proxima location guide and LootMap’s Shattered Beacon guide.

A second walkthrough uses Widow’s Overlook as an approach landmark: travel north from there, with cultists fighting a Tarred Vestige nearby. That encounter is described as a landmark, not a gate you must clear to reach Proxima. The walkthrough does not establish a separate unlock route. See the Blackridge Cliffs walkthrough.

How do you unlock Proxima?
- Travel to the Shattered Beacon in the northern part of Blackridge Cliffs.
- Enter the structure and interact with Proxima’s remains, which the LootMap guide places just inside.
- Complete the introductory memory sequence. The guides report that Proxima becomes a permanent Shell after this first memory.
The structure’s name can be misleading: LootMap classifies the Shattered Beacon as a Traversal marker rather than an ordinary Beacon checkpoint. Finding Proxima there does not establish that the structure functions as a normal fast-travel point.

What does Proxima’s Biosampler do?
Biosampler fires a hook, then attacks and applies Lightning. Against a lighter or movable enemy, the hook pulls the target toward Proxima. Against a target that cannot be moved, it pulls Proxima toward the target instead. That can help isolate a weaker enemy or close distance to a heavier one, but approaching an immovable target may put Proxima in danger if other enemies are nearby or the surrounding space is unsafe. How reliable is Proxima’s Grafted Armour?
Grafted Armour offers chance-based protection against melee or ranged hits. When it triggers, the hit deals reduced damage and does not stagger Proxima. Treat it as occasional mitigation, not guaranteed defense; the guide does not establish a named activation rate or other numeric probability.
