- Confirm current dependencies. Colorlib’s roundup says its refreshed collection uses HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript without Bootstrap’s JavaScript. Check the V20 download itself before assuming that exact dependency profile.
- Read the applicable license and asset terms. Confirm what must be attributed and whether bundled assets have separate terms before publishing or modifying the snippet.
Can you use Modal V20 without Bootstrap?
Colorlib’s September 2026 roundup describes its refreshed modal collection as using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript without Bootstrap’s JavaScript. That statement is about the collection, not a confirmed dependency audit of Modal V20. Check the specific download for its scripts and styles before adding it to a project that avoids Bootstrap.

Can you use it commercially?
Colorlib’s Modal V20 page lists a CC BY 3.0 license. In its September 2026 roundup, Colorlib says its snippets can be used in personal and commercial projects if the credit link is retained. Treat that as the publisher’s licensing guidance: review the actual license and any included asset terms, and preserve the required attribution if applicable.

The Modal V20 page names Rok Krivec and carries a March 7, 2021 page date, while its template details list a 2025 release date. Colorlib does not explain the difference, so neither date should be treated as a definitive launch or current-version date. The separate roundup is dated September 28, 2026, says it was rebuilt in September 2026, and lists 24 collection items; those are Colorlib’s claims about the roundup, not an independent count or benchmark.
