Mint is no longer an active Android budgeting app: Intuit announced that it was going away and moving users toward Credit Karma. PocketGuard is an Android option, but it is a separate service—not a direct continuation of Mint. Former Mint users can import a Mint CSV into PocketGuard, then check whether its budgeting tools, bank connections, and subscription fit their needs.
What happened to Mint, and what is PocketGuard?
Intuit announced on October 31, 2023, “Mint is going away, and we have phased communications and user migration by design.” Intuit’s announcement described a move toward Credit Karma; it does not establish that Credit Karma reproduces every Mint feature. Intuit’s Mint-branded feature page describes functions such as linked accounts, transaction review, spending categories, and net-worth tracking as having a home on Credit Karma, but that page is not evidence that Mint remains available. Read Intuit’s announcement and see Intuit’s Mint feature page.

PocketGuard is a separate budgeting service whose pricing page lists Android availability. Its feature documentation describes budgeting, transaction, bill, goal, and debt tools, but those vendor-described features are not proof of one-for-one parity with Mint. PocketGuard’s pricing page listed Plus at $74.99 billed yearly, $12.99 monthly, or $149.99 lifetime in US dollars when accessed October 7, 2026. The yearly option is an annual charge; the page also expresses it as $6.25 per month. Offers and availability can change, so check the current listing before subscribing.

Yes. PocketGuard documents importing a Mint CSV file. This is a file-based history transfer, not a continuing connection to Mint. Keep the original export and inspect the imported records rather than assuming every category and account will match automatically. PocketGuard’s operational instructions were updated September 1, 2026: Transfer Mint Data to PocketGuard Without Losing History.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
- Prepare your records. Locate and preserve your Mint CSV export. Confirm that PocketGuard is set up with the accounts you want to use, or be ready to add them manually during import.
- Upload the CSV. In PocketGuard’s import flow, upload the Mint file. If accounts are already set up, the instructions allow you to skip connecting or adding them at this stage.
- Match categories and accounts. Map the categories and accounts in the file to PocketGuard’s categories and accounts. PocketGuard warns that unmatched categories may be assigned to “Uncategorized.”
- Choose transaction priority. Select whether Mint data or PocketGuard data should take priority for transactions, then run the import.
- Reconcile the result. Review dates, amounts, accounts, and category assignments against the CSV. PocketGuard says an import can be deleted from its import details if you need to remove it.
Which Mint workflows does PocketGuard document?
PocketGuard’s pages describe a range of tools, but the right fit depends on what you actually used in Mint. Check the current feature list and test the workflows that matter to you rather than treating feature names as proof that the apps behave identically.
Budgets and spending categories
PocketGuard lists category budgets, custom categories, rollover budgeting, and leftover or custom budgeting strategies. Its Plus feature overview also lists custom budgets and categories. These may suit someone who wants to organize spending by category; whether the setup matches your old Mint routine is a personal workflow question. See PocketGuard Plus: Features and Benefits Overview.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Transactions, bills, and history
PocketGuard lists transaction import and export, transaction rules, advanced categorization, cash transactions, subscription tracking, and recurring or upcoming bills. Its Plus overview additionally lists transaction splits, receipt attachments, and cash-account tools. If historical search, bill reminders, or custom reports were central to your Mint use, confirm that PocketGuard supports the exact task you need; the published feature lists do not establish that every former Mint workflow carries over.

Account tracking and net worth
Account connectivity is part of PocketGuard’s listed feature set, and Plus includes unlimited bank connections according to its help page. Check that your institution is supported and that the account types you need can be tracked. If your decision depends on investment or net-worth tracking, verify those specific workflows in PocketGuard; the available feature descriptions do not establish a complete match with Mint’s former experience.
Will PocketGuard connect to your bank where you live?
PocketGuard’s support article, updated August 31, 2026, lists bank and card connections in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It says people elsewhere can use the web app to add accounts and transactions manually, and that bank linking is not required to start budgeting. Even within supported countries, coverage can vary by financial institution. Check your bank before relying on automatic transaction updates. See PocketGuard’s country and account-support details.

What should you know about account-linking security?
PocketGuard says linked access is read-only, that it does not store credit- or debit-account credentials, and that it uses aggregation partners, encryption, PIN or password protection, and optional multi-factor authentication from financial institutions. These are PocketGuard’s own descriptions, not an independent security audit. If linking accounts is a deciding factor, review its current privacy and security disclosures and check how your bank’s connection works. PocketGuard explains its account-linking security claims.

How to decide whether PocketGuard suits you
Start with the tasks you need now, not with the assumption that any one app recreates Mint. PocketGuard is worth considering if its Android app, bank support, budget approach, and current price align with your requirements—and if its CSV import preserves the history you want. If automatic feeds are unavailable for your bank or you need a specific Mint workflow that PocketGuard does not document, account for that gap before moving your routine.
