Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle is a sensible way to play both Shadow games on Nintendo Switch 2 if you want Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, with their listed expansions, in one purchase and can accommodate a 130 GB installation. The main caveats are storage, the lack of online multiplayer, and a performance picture that rests on one published review rather than independent measurement.
What the bundle contains
Nintendo’s Australian eShop listing identifies the bundle as two complete editions. The table below lists the content that listing attaches to each game.

The core idea is the Nemesis System. Nintendo describes the game as an open-world action-adventure in which Orc rivals remember past encounters and can be dominated into allied captains. Its listing copy puts it this way: “Create unique Orc rivals who remember every battle, defeat, and encounter.” That is Nintendo’s product copy, with no individual speaker named.

The same listing says Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition won “over 50 Awards.” This is promotional copy from the publisher. The listing does not name the award organisations or years, so treat it as Nintendo’s claim rather than an independently verified count.

Storage: what you need before you download
The Australian eShop page lists 130 GB required space (2026 listing). Nintendo cautions that the free space you actually need may differ from that figure, so leave a margin rather than planning for exactly 130 GB.
- Check your free space first. Make sure your Switch 2 has comfortably more than the listed figure free before purchase.
- Expansion means microSD Express. Nintendo states that Switch 2 is compatible only with microSD Express cards. A standard microSD card will not work as an expansion.
- The card is not included. If you need extra room, buy a microSD Express card separately and confirm its capacity and compatibility with Switch 2 before you buy it.
Platform modes, features and online limits
- Play modes: Nintendo lists handheld, tabletop and TV modes, and supports touchscreen features.
- Players and system: The listing identifies one-player, single-system software. It does not offer online multiplayer, so do not buy it for co-op or competitive online play.
- Cloud saves: Save-data cloud is supported, but using it requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- Publisher and rating: Aspyr is the publisher. The South African listing gives PEGI 18.
- Languages: The South African listing names Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Polish.
How the performance review reads
GamingBolt published a Switch 2 review on 1 October 2026 by Varun Karunakar, awarding the bundle 9/10. The review says both games run well in docked and handheld play, with minimal frame-rate drops, and it lists minor frame-rate dips as a drawback. The page discloses that the outlet was provided a copy for review.

This is one outlet’s evaluation. It is not an independent frame-rate measurement, so it tells you how the game felt to that reviewer rather than what a benchmark would show on your console.
Price and release date
Nintendo Life’s listing gives a North American release date of 30 September 2026 and a price of $69.99. That is Nintendo Life’s figure, not a price confirmed against an official store, and eShop prices differ by region. The South African listing gives the same 30 September 2026 release date.

Comparing the bundle with other options
If you are weighing the bundle against buying the two games separately, or against another platform version, compare these points in your own region:
- Total price in your currency and region on the eShop.
- Which editions and expansions each option includes.
- Installation size, since the bundle lists 130 GB.
- Portability, given that the bundle supports handheld play.
- Measured performance. Only the single review above is cited here.
- Whether you already own either game or have save progress that changes the value.
