Microsoft confirms that Visio Professional 2024 is a one-time-purchase desktop app for one PC; that does not verify this third-party code or establish that it carries Microsoft’s standard licensing and support terms.
What the $49.97 offer includes
PCWorld Shop lists “Microsoft Visio Professional 2024: Lifetime License for Windows” at $49.97. The page displays a suggested price of $579.99 and a 91% discount. Those are seller-listed figures, not confirmation that this code has the same licensing, support, activation, or regional terms as a purchase from Microsoft. Is it really lifetime access?
“Lifetime” is PCWorld Shop’s description of access for this listing. The seller also says the code is for one use and activation is limited to one device at a time. Microsoft describes its Visio Professional 2024 edition as a one-time purchase licensed for one PC, but that product-level description does not authenticate this particular code or prove that the offer’s rights match Microsoft’s standard license. PCWorld Shop offer Microsoft Visio Professional 2024
In other words, the listing’s lifetime claim is not a promise of transferable access, coverage across multiple computers, or continued access under circumstances the seller does not specify. Review the offer’s terms and any country-specific eligibility details before buying; the code’s provenance and availability in every country are not established here.
Does the license bind to my device or my Microsoft account?
PCWorld Shop says this code is “connected with your actual device, NOT your Microsoft Account.” Microsoft’s support guidance for the normal non-subscription, one-time-purchase route says the product key is associated with a Microsoft account and explains how to install the desktop app. Microsoft separately identifies third-party product keys as a troubleshooting case. These are distinct descriptions: Microsoft’s general setup guidance does not confirm how this seller’s code behaves, and the seller’s wording should not be treated as Microsoft verification. How long do I have to redeem the code?
The seller says the code must be redeemed within seven days of purchase. Treat that as a firm deadline: do not buy until you can check that the code works on the intended PC and that your region and setup are eligible. PCWorld Shop offer

PCWorld Shop says an unredeemed license can be returned for store credit within seven days, while all sales are final once redeemed. Because redemption is required within that same seven-day period, the offer gives little room to delay deciding whether to keep it. Read the current refund policy and checkout terms before redeeming; do not assume a redeemed code can be refunded. PCWorld Shop offer

What does Microsoft’s $579.99 price tell you?
Microsoft’s US comparison page lists Visio Professional 2024 at $579.99 as a one-time purchase. PCWorld Shop uses the same amount as its suggested price and presents $49.97 as a discount. The matching figures do not establish a like-for-like saving: Microsoft’s price is for its listed product, while the third-party code’s provenance and equivalent licensing and support rights are not verified. What Visio Professional 2024 does
Microsoft describes the edition as a “Comprehensive on-premises diagram and data visualization solution with advanced capabilities, licensed for one PC.” Microsoft lists additional templates and shapes, diagrams supporting standards including BPMN 2.0, IEEE, and UML 2.5, and connectivity to live data among Professional features. Those are official product details; they should not be read as confirmation that the seller’s code has been verified or that every right and feature is equivalent under this offer. Will it work alongside an existing Office or Microsoft 365 installation?
The information available for this offer does not establish compatibility with every existing Office or Microsoft 365 setup. Microsoft’s support page covers installation of the non-subscription desktop app, but it does not certify this specific third-party code or every software combination. Before purchasing, check Microsoft’s current installation guidance for your configuration and ask the seller about any unresolved compatibility issue. Microsoft support guidance
Check these details before buying
- Windows compatibility: The seller lists Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2019. Confirm the current requirements and compatibility with Microsoft before purchase. PCWorld Shop offer Microsoft support guidance
- Hardware listed by the seller: A 1.6 GHz or faster two-core processor; 4 GB RAM (2 GB for 32-bit); 4 GB available storage; a 1280 × 768 display; DirectX 10 graphics; internet access; and a Microsoft account. Verify current requirements with Microsoft. PCWorld Shop offer Microsoft support guidance
- Redemption and return: Make sure you can redeem within seven days and accept the seller’s stated restriction on returns after redemption. PCWorld Shop offer
- License eligibility: Confirm the code can be used in your country and that the device-linked terms fit how you expect to use Visio; those details are not independently established for every region.
- Existing installation: Check your Office or Microsoft 365 setup against Microsoft’s current installation guidance before installing. Microsoft support guidance
Who should consider the offer?
The deal may suit a buyer who specifically wants the Windows desktop edition, has a compatible PC ready, and is comfortable with the seller’s device-linked activation description, short redemption window, and no-refund-after-redemption rule. If you need account-linked management, clearer provenance, or assurance that the code carries the same terms as Microsoft’s direct one-time purchase, the listing does not establish those points; compare the seller’s terms with Microsoft’s official product and support information before deciding.
